Mouse zoom out distance

Some one told me that you can change a file to allow the mouse to zoom out a farther distance somehow. say if you crash your plane into the ground, you can look around and zoom out, is there a way to increase the distance somehow?

My guess is that the file is the "conf" file in the main game folder. Be careful altering this file!!! Make a backup before you do anything!

Not sure what you need to alter or if you can even do this.

That is correct, and the max distance is 50000.
