Does anyone have this problem when trying to load a saved game where SHIV just sits there and goes Please wait or go for coffee, do some online shopping and go wash the car then it still won't load. I defragged my hd have both patches installed, save the game regularly and the game is still tempermental and will load or will not load depending on its mood. Running xp pro all patches, ati 1600pro 512meg all updates. P4 3.4, 2 300 gig maxtor HD, and 3gigs of cruicial ram so my pc more than covers the specs and I have no problem running other games. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Lots of people have had this happen to them, do what I do and find a hobby that you can do whilst you wait like redoing the garden or building a new kitchen...when done return and it should have loaded.

Yes, several people have had this problem. It's under the career-save-bug umbrella. Personally, I have not seen it but I do notice saved games seem to be more, uh, fragile than fresh ones.

If you're not aware, what seems to HELP, is only save at 1:1 time compression (or paused), on the surface, at the map screen, and preferably with few if any contacts about.

Or, in other words, treat this game with kid gloves.
