Can't Blow up Armory(Newbie)

I have cleaned out the camp, collected the explosive device, gotten the key card, but can't find a way to blow up the armory. I must be missing something, Help!

Go right to the radar blip, and it should say "Press USE key to plant explosive".

I know where the armory is and have gotten to the point where the blip is in the center.I have gone completely around it , even on top of it and have never gotten the command you are talking about. I am wondering if this is a problem with the program. Could the patch help. I'm running it on a PC and have no problems until this point.

Hmmm, odd.

But yes, install the 1.3 patch. It MAY help.

Well, I install the patch and noticed some changes but still no command to press use key to place explosives. This is very frustrating as I have to go through the camp each time I want to try something new. Any other ideas?

Can't remember which level this one is, can you refresh my memory (age catching up with me you see, lol).

The game is new to me. I believe this is level 4 or what they call the pier. I need to blow up the armory before I make my way to the pier. I have been stuck here for days. Thanks

ok, well I just played that level again, and in the armoury on one of the crates next to the fenced off area there should be an orange shape (in the shape of the explosive device) very clearly in front of you as you walk through the door into the armoury. When you walk up to the orange shape and stand in front of it you should then get the command to press use key (F) to plant the explosive. So if that isn't happening then perhaps there is something wrong with your game install.

Great, you are first person that has told me that I should be able to go inside the armory. How do I get the door to open? I have looked for a place to use the key card, no luck. What am I missing?

Well actually the same way you went into the other building to get the key card (which is only for the weapons storage inside the armoury), you push the door open http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I have done this to both doors and neither will open. It's begining to sound like a program error. If the door is suppose to open as easily as the others, then something is wrong.

Any Ideas?

Yes it sounds like that must be it then. No wonder you can't get to it if the door won't open. Looks like you'll have to uninstall FarCry and re-install it, not forgetting to re-install patch 1.3 again too. Luckily you're only at the 4th level so its not too bad really.
Silly question probably but you are absolutely positive its the armoury you are trying to get into aren't you, and not another building by mistake?

Yes, It says armory above the door and it has high exposive signs all over it, not to mention it is the only building I can't get into.

The only building you can't get into? Well that's sod's law for you isn't it, lol. Well never mind. My brother has just got FarCry as well but his problem is trying to run it in the first place but I told him everyone seems to need to tweak their pc's a little in order for it to run properly, but once its up and running as it should be he'll realise why so many people absolutely love the game.

Well, reinstalling the software worked. I took everything out, including check points. It took me a couple of days to get back to where the armory was, but once there I was able to enter the armory and blow it up. I now have finished the pier level and have moved on to the research level. If this should happen again, does anyone know if I save the check points, will I be saving the problem (corrupted file). I hope I am done with this problem, but if it should arise again I would love to be able to start playing from where I left off.
