All I have to say is do not worry about Myst V. You think because it is realtime that it can not look good? I pre ordered my copy from the UK and recieved it early. I have begun to play it and let me say that we have gotten a great final game. To me, the last two installments never matched Myst and Riven. They were definately as good as Myst but because Myst was the first It can never be matched. What the last two installments were, were Myst rehashed. They Did the same thing that Myst did. Take you through ages for the sake of completing puzzles. It was fun but none of those games ever matched Riven. Riven was a game of exploration with puzzles thrown in. It had a wonderful story and a sense of mystery. You connected to the characters and were taken in by the story. This is how EoA is. Cyan has returned to what they created and what nobody else could ever match. They have given us the true final story to their creation. Please do not discount this game because you think it looks like Uru. You will miss out on the last game from a company that made us all realize what an adventure could be, what an interactive novel could be. You will love Myst V.

I was worried when I heard it was Realtime, as that kinda kills the realism for me. I gotta agree, Riven was the high point of Cyan's career. It was totally immersive, it connected perfectly with Myst, and it left you with a sense of acomplishment, unilke the unsatisfying ending of Myst.
Now, I don't want to bash Myst, but I feel that Riven was the best, and will be the standard for these games from now on. It had a wonderful story and a sense of mystery. You connected to the characters and were taken in by the story. Exactly! I guess what I'm getting at is that I was dissapointed at first with realMyst, as it didn't have the same "soul" that Riven did. Thanks for the comforting notion that EoA is just as good, and just as real as I've come to expect from Cyan.

For what it's worth, I agree with you 100% -- it's an excellent game, in the true spirit of Myst. Go buy it. Get your friends to go buy it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
