Enjoying my current career with TMO 1.7 with RSRD.I like RSRD's historic traffic(most of the time) and it's map labels etc.
The AI is just way too easy though.I've fooled around in the ME and changed the skill level on some of the escorts in the campaign traffic from competent(should be incompetent) to veteran, hopefully this will cause some changes.
I read about another way to do it in TMO though.
Anyone know how to do it in RSRD?
I'd like the RSRD escorts to be like TMO's.

If RSRD overwrites the sim.cfg in TMO, you could try coping and pasting the hydrone and sonar sections from TMO into RSRD or the active sim.cfg file.
If it's overwritign the AI_sensors.dat, it is most likely NOT a simple drag and drop file replacement. There's two version of this file that im aware of, and they name the sensor nodes differently.
So by replacing the AI_sensor.dat file in RSRD (if it exists) with the one from TMO, what will happen is you'll have a file calling on nodes that do not exist. What sensor nodes a unit is using is defined by its SNS file.
A better solution to file replacement would be to open the two AI_sensors.dat, and transcribe the active and passive sonar settings from the TMO ai_sensor.dat, to which ever new one your using. Active and passive sonar are denoted with a A and P. Japanese sonar is type93, and type3. Allied is usually type 144 something.
