Second Annual Back to School Tournament!

The Combat Zone Network will be having a Raven Shield BTS2 Tournament! In the spirit of Speed Ball this will be a 4v4 fast and furious tournament. Multiple teams allowed. Prizes from X-DriveWebhosting, Red Bull Energy Drink, Ubi Soft and nVidia!

More on this later!

Sweet, maybe this will bring some much deserved attention to a very good ladder(The Combat Zone) Anything to raise the participation level on TCZ's a good thing.

Here is some more information on the tournament. As I get more insight regarding the sponsors and prizes I will add to the list. Should be a lot of fun. We are also using our IRC Server as a means to communicate games, results and placing teams on deck.

Sounds 'sexellent' Holden, looking forward to it. Not too many competitions lately, but I guess that might start changing with punkbuster, who knows.

nVidia will be sponsoring The Combat Zone Network from now on. They will be supplying T-Shirts, Hats and other goodies to the teams. They are also working on getting some card manufacturers to donate hardware to the tournaments!

With this type of sponsorship we can start providing top of the line prizes for the tournaments and do something that I've wanted to be consistant on in the past...

"The Masters". The Masters was originally introduce into the ladder over a year ago where teams could vote for the team that exemplified sportsmanship. Honesty, Integrity, Skill and a general positive Attitude are all rolled into this questonaire where teams get to choose the winner. You may take 1st place in a tournament or the ladder as a whole but can you say you were recognized as being the best by your peers?

Now we can reward not just by name recognition but through prizes on this award that frankly I feel outways 1st place in other areas. Who knows maybe the 1st place team in the ladder is also recognized by their peers as being outstanding. Either way we need to honor those attributes.

The current Raven Shield Tournament has 5 teams signed up with 8 pending and growing. Get signed up and acclimated to the site if your not already here. We have a lot of fun and stand up teams on this site. Been a pleasure working with them!

We have over 20 teams registered and the tournament is still almost a month away! This looks to be a fast and furious tournament!

We are also working with nVidia to provide hardware (video cards) to the top team! Right now we have over $500 worth of prizes to go out and more on the way! What's even better is YOU dont have to pay to compete! Just show up and have fun!
