Hi The more I get into this game, the better I like it. But questions do arise.

1. Is there any where (say in the Captain's Cabin) that sunrise & sunset are displayed? If memory serves, this was a feature of SH I.

2. What exactly does the Event Camera do? What are pluses & minuses to having it on(or off)?

3. Where, if anyplace, do I go to get an external picture of the whole sub? If there is one, does it work both above &below surface?

Many thanks, Hugh Browne

In SH4 there isn't a captains cabin alas, the event camera is toggled in the options settings and allows you to see your torps go, it just depends on how much realism you want which is the same for getting an external view of your sub and boats by pressing f11, this feature is also toggled on and off in the options depending on how far you wish to up your realism. Remember in career the options are on the radio in your office screen.

Hi-Thanks very much. Now, if some one will only tell me how to get my completed career mission back, I'll be very happy.

hmmm i`m not sure i understand...if you finish the career that is it. you start another. the thing i like most is to start with the basic subs and work my way up the ladder...but careers do have a short span and do not last the war.
hope that helped... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Deepbluewolf- Thanks. What I'm trying to get at is, I started a career, went on first mission, acomplished the objectives(as I understood them) hit exit and then nothing happened. Is a career only one mission? Do I have to RTB first to complete mission for credit?

How & where do I find out what the next mission in my career is?

Many thanks, HB

ahemmm...no hiting exit I`m afraid, you MUST RTB after you finish objectives( Make sure that you send status reports so that you get assingned the rest of the mission) you got to check the radio messages and the obj. list to see if you were assigned another objective in the same mission. Once completed you RTB, and there you get a new mission, can` t remember how many missions per career but normaly the career has a life span of one and a half years.

ONce in base you refit your sub check out specials like new torps available or upgrades to your sub, you hand out promotions to your crew, medals etc...and when you all done just check that big map on the wall in front of you and you will see the next mission.
all this happens in the room where the telephone, coffe mug, little sub, map on the wall are.
