XBOX LIVE?

I'm gonna be gettin Evolution next week and Xbox Live. I was just wondering. When you get xbox live, do you just buy the starter pack (with subscription) plug the xbox to broadband modem (via ethernet cable) and just play? or is it more complicated?

Also, apparently you need a high-speed broadband connection. My connection speed is 10mbs. But my download speed is about 150-200kb per second. IT IS BROADBAND. But would Live run really slow on this? Please help! BTW, I'm with NTL Broadband.

It doesnt take too long, first setup account, make sure you have Credit card handy and enter inf,o then make sure ur router (if u have one) is configured(usually doesn't need to be) Thats pretty much it. Your connection is plenty fast. Also 10mbps doesnt equal 200 kB/s its much higher(1,280 a sec).

oh yes, my download is supposed to be over a megabyte, but for some reason it is alot slower, so I have to use a download accelerator. Will this matter?

Is the router an ethernet cable, or the broadband modem (connection box)?

Do you have to have credit card or can you use debit card?

I think the download may be slow, because i'm not using the ethernet cable for my connection, i'm using a white USB type one. It is slower, and for some reason the people who fitted my broadband put that one in!

If you're going to use a debit card, go to your local game retailer, and just buy a year subscription to 'Xbox Live!

yeh, i was going to do that. I think the online price for a year is about â£39.99

I know it's $59.00 Cdn...eh? It's basically the same as online.
