FIAT CR 42, 162a Sq. 161â? Gr. Aut.
Aegean Sea, 1941
According to what the colour pictures testify, the upper surfaces of this CR42 were carefully overpainted "on the field",
with a light and half-transparent overspraying of green (verde mimetico).
The typical, original, Three-colur camo (verde mimetico and marrone mottling applied over a layer of giallo mimetico)
is clearly visible under the green overlay.
Many thanks to Pag and Ferdinando D'Amico for the help and for the patient
reconstruction of this very peculiar camo.
