Nothing like gunshots before bed to put you to sleep. Here I am sitting on my bed doing some light reading before I sleep. It was around 2 AM in the big apple, when suddenly I hear a Bang then another bang like a second later. Its not my first time hearing gunshots, but never this loud. Then after the bangs, i hear some loud distant moaning like screams. Considering how loud the moaning was im guessing it happened behind my block. Didnt hear no car screeching away so a drive by is out of the question. Anyone know of a good place thats cheap i can move in to?

I think i'll skip on any game that involves shooting today. Maybe i'll play some uno or chess.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Don't worry. You can move in with me. Not many shoot outs here. Only like one within the six years I've lived in Wyoming. Guns can take a toll on you. I know that from experience.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I've often thought about what it would be like living in Wyoming. I love the Old West, wide open spaces, and mountains. What are the housing prices like there?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Depends. Kind of pricy. It's a lot more modern than one would think. It's nice and wide open aswell.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Cool. Once we sell our property here in Orlando, we're going to be moving. More than likely, we'll be moving to Amarillo, TX - that's where the majority of my family lives. You can buy houses there pretty darn cheap also. A house that would cost $250K here in Orlando might only cost around $70-80K there.

I definitely want to get out of Orlando. The traffic here sucks donkey butt, and the crime rate is skyrocketing through the roof.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Hmmm a random person invites me to their dwelling. Do I go or do I call the cops? Sure i'll crash your house. I cant really afford the plane ride so i'll be walking. Expect me at your doorsteps around, dunno April.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The day in the life of a New Yorker. I live on Brooklyn so I know all about the gunshots. Its annoying and I am tired of all the hold ups at gunpoint in my neighborhood (they held my neighbor up in front of his house on July 4th in broad daylight). That was the last straw for me so I will be moving to the burbs in GA next month. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The last time someone broke into my house my Rottie tore into him right about the time i shot him. No death. The dog tore his leg up and i pulverized his hip. This was back in '94 All of my neihbors came outside and watched the guy squirm in pain until the cops arrived. No one helped him. Who would? I was coming down the stairs when i got him. F@#$kin loser is lucky i aimed low.

I have a 12-ga shotgun with 3" magnum double-aught buckshot. I don't think anyone is going to be walking away if they try breaking into my house. I'd rather not have to ever use it, though.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Then I wouldn't be home to worry about it. Actually when we went on vacation several months ago, I hid the shotgun in a pretty innocuous place, just in case. I'm more worried about when I'm home.

Oh, in case anyone is wondering why I'm packing such extreme ammo. It's for taking out wild hogs, which live in the woods behind our house. There have been a few times over the past few years where they've wandered into our yard. I live less than 5 miles from downtown Orlando, go figure. Hogs and gators.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I was raised in Brooklyn and about a year and a half ago I moved to Queens, specfically Rockaway Park. Huge difference. I can actually hear nature in the morning http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif I hear the birds and the wind, as opposed to the neighbors squabbling and cars screeching. It's also a lot safer that I can tell. Although I still fantasize about moving down south or to florida http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/inlove.gif Who knows, I just might. I get a little sick of how expensive it is to live in NYC http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I've lived in Queens, specifically Elmhurst and Forest Hills, all my life. The only loud noises I have to complain about are my neighbors blasting horrible music at 2am. I walk my dog around 4am every day and feel completely safe outside. I even experience complete silence at times.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
