I didn't know where to put this post. Sorry if I chose the wrong forum.

I noticed that HeroesV phones home everytime I launch or shut down the game. Phoning home means it trys to contact a ubisoft server every time.

I find this to be very deceptive and a possible invasion of privacy. Could someone please explain why the game does this, and what information is being sent/received?

My firewall is blocking it, but I still want to know why. Every time I close the game it tries about 10 times to contact you. My firewall stops it. The program then tries to find a open port a bunch more times until it finally gives up.

If your talking about the DEMO.. then it could be due to the game contacting the ubi authentication servers to play online..

If your talking about the RETAIL version.. well then you are using a pirate version because the game isn't out yet and you/your IP is tracked by ubi who are preparing to send the FBI to your house right now.

I suspect you didn't read the pop-up when you installed the game... Need to read a bit more before clicking "OK" all over the place.
