My parents tell me that as I toddler I showed nominal ambidexterity &#8212 as in "equally bad with both hands." I was encouraged to use my right, so in all formal activities like writing, drawing, throwing and controller-use I am right-handed.

However, for most natural actions &#8212 from picking up and carrying an item to the Gattaca test &#8212 I am left-handed. A latent southpaw, if you will.

I use my left hand for writing, eating, etc. For activities that that utilize the whole arm (e.g. throwing a baseball, swinging a hammer) I use my right.

I am a natural righty....writting, throwing ect...but in Hockey I shoot left...and in baseball I switch hit. But I say I am a righty.

Well I am a righty, who used to play Southpaw (both with a mouse/keyboard and a controller) but had to switch to default when playing through Call of Duty 2 because they didn't include Southpaw controls initially. Now I can't play Southpaw anymore and haven't gotten as accurate with default controls as I was when playing Southpaw. Why is it that some companies still refuse to include Southpaw controls when they initially release a game?

I use both when playing basketball, I can switch hit playing baseball, and oddly enough I'm left eye dominant which I found out once I first began target shooting.

When we were small children my twin brother and I both showed strong ampi-dexterity. (Ate with both hands, drew with both hands, ect) Well at about the time we started to write with both hands our parents decided we should be right handed for whatever reasons and so we were also encouraged to be right-handers. Today I'm officially right handed in all things though I find myself doing things I learned before rightdoctrination with the left from time to time such as eating food or wiping my butt. (never at the same time mind you)

I think there's some religious stimga about being left-handed that's lead to the wide right-handed prevailance, I really couldn't say though.

Here's the deal. If I hold a pen in my right hand, I hold it backwards like some left handed people do. When I hold a pen in my left hand, I hold it *properly*. However, when I attempt to write with my left hand it looks like a hieroglyph, and not English. When I bat left, I feel more natural than when I bat right. I have righty golf clubs, but I am thinking of trying to swing goofy just to see if I can add some touch to my short game.
