I am trying to add some radio frequencies from different shows I have down loaded. I know I need to edit the ini file. What are the antenna settings.

[CHANNEL]
Name=Washington
Folder=Washington
Freq=22
Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000

I'm PRETTY SURE they translate as (using your example):

01.01.1930 -01.01.2000

- Date info: 'This station is transmitting between these two dates' (altering dates allows you to set stations to broadcast only between chosen dates.

I believe you need to keep stations Freq seperated even if they are time seperated - ie you set a station up to transmit in 1943 and one to run in 1944 they still need to be on different freqs or you get static instead of 1944 programs. (Or some such issue).

44.16,-35.10

- This is the latitude (ie X degrees Y minutes North or South) and Longtitude (X degrees Y minutes East or West) that tells SH4 where the station is situated I THINK*. You can set stations up to cover specific areas - over on subsim com you'll find something like 'local radio' on the go where your stations change as you move around the map.

Plus and minus distinguish N/S and E/W.

* I THINK because this lat/long isn't DC or the state, but there are a lot of stations all over with Washington in the name - I gave up trying to identify the station and position in the end!

100,000

I beleive this is range in miles that it transmits over - the next bit is very relevant....

There is some sort of 'feature' (or bug) that creates problems as you cross 180 E/W (it's not only the attack map that goes screwy) - I'm not sure, but it looks like if a radio station is one side of that line and you cross to the other then you lose it - so stick a station at Pearl and as you pass Midway you lose the music and get static instead.

By setting the 100,000 range on the station - as I heard it - your radio signal reaches boats in the 'other' half of the ocean by going 'the long way' around the world.... so position and range matter, I have played with this some and my 'Wake Radio' (a subversive station which beams old comedy programs laced with Bing Crosby interludes at the Japanese) adopts the 100,000 mile 'subtle as a baseball bat' approach to this problem.

For myself I have a bunch of preselected radio shows in seperate folders, I drag a whole folder at a time into my 'Wake' folder to replace the existing one, by swapping these out regularly I avoid listening to repeats too often.

Thanks for the response. It all makes sense now.
