basically, im working on a map called mp_terroratoll,
okay, in this map, the assaulting team plays U.S Army and the other is terrorists. the terrorists have taken a peaceful pacific island and slaughtered the villagers who built most of the structures. they have since added to it. this island is in the form of an atoll, with a once peaceful village in the sky above the lagoon. This village is held up with support beams and walkways. You may be able to infiltrate via the caves and assault the terrorist hired-mercenaries now living in the village. That is where we will be dropping you off by boat. Since this is an insertion, and they are on alert currently due to machinery and communication problems, you will both already be armed guns and ammunition. It is not yet complete and is what id say around 1/2 done or so (need to finish and village and add more **** like that lol and a few pickups)
progress+layout
the U.S. team is dropped off at the docks, and then must enter the caves and take out the terrorist fortification in the 4th tunnel section(checkpoint). Move deeper into the caves. You will run into another terrorist camp somewhere along the way, this is the comm center.(checkpoint) Capture the next checkpointto enable the elevator and enter it! The elevator will take you up to a city made out of huts and treehouse parts held up with large support beams strategically placed under the platforms. Enter the control room and capture the 4th checkpoint. So far i have finished the U.S. spawn point, almost up to the elevator in the cave, 1/2 of the city in the sky, terrain layout, terrain texturing, first and second checkpoints, water settings, boids, and vegetation, and detail objects. Oh i also wanted to ask, is there a coral vegetation object to make a coral reef?
1. do portals+lighting
2. Perfect wind/bending (DONE)
3. Finish caves (almost done)
4. Finish alarm system (am saving for near last)
5. Finish defensive items/brushes (in prgress)
6. Spawn points (wont take long)
7. Skybox and environment settings (DONE)
8. Optimizing the storm's settings(DONE)
9. Finishing the shark's AI paths n stuff (DONE)
10. Ocean settings to match storm. (DONE)
11. Decorations (about 2/3 done. makes the map look good =D)
12. Vegetation (DONE)
13. put caves in visarea(DONE)
14. Briefings (SCRATCHED:my voice doesnt sound good enuf and my mic kinda broke recently)
15. Loadscreen (Will be saved for second to last step)
16. The sky city's platforms and bridges (a large section of platforming using treehouse parts, huts, etc. to make a floating city. Will use wide, thick columns for support beams.)
17. The Elevator(s) (Not yet started)
18. Checkpoints (have two in place.)
19. Lighting (placed nv goggles in starting equip set and am placing light sin caves.)
20. The ambient sounds (DONE)
21. screenshots (DONE)
22. Optimizing for appearance (visual effects, partical sprays on rocks)
23. Release (probly like 1-2 weeks away)
24. Alpha release (unfinished map in this condition just given to those who want to see my technique and stuff plz PM me on forums or contact me on AIM(bobdabirdy) or MSN messenger(kylehems@att.net))
25. Open Beta release (NOTE: If you get the beta when i release it, check this thread every other day for when the final comes out, make sure to delete the beta and remove from maplists that way servers arent acidentaly running it instead of the improved final version.)

27. Promote this map (post on as many community forums as i can this information)
28. After release, Pwn soem people on my map!!!!!!!! (0 wait for some reason it says my cd key is in use! ) whats up with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the game came bundled with my BFG Geforce 6800 OC 128 mb gfx card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then the paper sleeve the main disc was in (fortunately it was in meh drive at the time Then i woke up the next morning and discovered it wasn't on my desk. So i go to ask my mom where it was...........and she tells me she threw it out cuz it was wet!!!! i wanted to go diggin for it, but i found out it wa sin the same bag she uswed to throw away a steamer my puppy made. And that it was under the poo. Not even a far cry cd key is worth going in that bag! )
btw the disk itself wa sin my drive with Halo PC in the other drive
