or how about the ps2 ver could of had a simple envirnment map bump-mapping fix

could go like this

I know that like many you are not aware that ps2 can do bumpmapping in software(not ebossing, which it's hardware can easily do). There is a game to refere to that u could even borrow directly or become accostom to(as in the way the do it). It takes no GS power to do, and the VU1 does it's job(since it shown VU on the ps2 CPU can be used as vertex shader)

now the game is stripped a little because of delaying and cancled ..then afterwards without being worked on that time was brought up again and was retooled abit to be released as a game that probably wont wanna be played. But seeing the one lazily impemented light moving the textures it looks fantasic, you can probably retool it it work with shadow lights and even a precalculated C.O.N.[Champions of norroth]bump-mapping on still lights and definetly the moving bump-m on charas, anything to preserve CPU time, this thought should at least go to splinter cell 4

CON still bump-map

and the game i was talking about that was badly released

yes it's malice

P.S.look at the ps2 Stolen looks good...and i saw some b-m in The Shield on an older psm dvd(the one with xbox E3 SC:CT gameplay)like on his pants and others clothes has wrinkles the lightng on skin cause of it is smooth like the light of the chain-link fence is good cause how it flows off people.

What do you think? And yes I think CT graphics on ps2 to still be a delight, but just imaging if they atleast tryed some B-Mappping on all charas and where there are moving lights in 4

Now it's an idea of my thoughts and what I think can be limitly done with 4 or could been done with 3. I hope ubi would take a look around for this in the games i've seen

We should all contact our state Attorney General for false advertising. Maybe then they'll take us serious. I wouldn't have bought the game if I'd known before hand. I would have bought it for Xbox instead. If this is how they treat their customers that tells you something about their management. I won't trust them again.

what about my complaint, how would you email the site about somthing as small(or maybe not so small) as this

04-06-2005, 04:53 PM
I dont think I'm old enough for my AG to care.

Wishful thinking guys, but it's never going to happen. If you are morally opposed to M$, and you refuse to buy a PC or Xbox, I'm afraid you will have to wait until Ps3 comes out with some brand new hardware and has SC4. A "fix" (even though nothing's broken, just no gadgets) will NOT come before the next Splinter Cell game next-gen. Why do you even think Ubi will look at this? It isn't really a fix you guys are looking for, it's an expansion pack, and they obviously will never include that stuff you want on the Ps2 version, or else they would've added it in the retail version. They had enough time. Again, wait till Ps3, and SC4 and you will have an even more cutting edge game than this one, with it being IDENTICAL on all platforms, PS3 and XENON. All gamers will be happy in the next 1-2 years.
