Has a path for the YP-80 engine cutting out and nor restarting been developed? If so which one was it? Thanks for the help.

I think that this is flameout issue, which applies for most jet planes of WW2. If you are not careful enough with your power manipulation, then these things happen and due to early stage of jet engines development in that era, some aircraft were unable to start their jet engines in mid-air. Even some propeller planes had problems with starting up engines in similar situations. They obviously didn't have to worry about flameouts, but if you take I-16 Tchaika for example, and in flight push her nose down too far, your engine dies and without service will not start up again. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
So I think this is not and issue for a patch, but as always - maybe I'm wrong. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
