Can u give me my rank back please? (PC)

Hai guys i recently got Far Cry 2 I was really excited to play both sp and mp. So i get online and stuff getting ranks up then i was like rank 7 really cool and stuff new weapons then i got down and i eated my diner up fast to play fc2 then i started up get into multiplayer i was so excited to play with my nice sniper and grenade launcher then i saw that i was freaking rank 1 again i was so mad i screamed xD. But the question is is there anyway to get my rank back without doing it over and over again. And does this happens again?

Oh crap did it in the wrong section it belongs in to far cry 2.

Were you playing "Ranked" matches or "Player" matches?

You only retain ranks in "Ranked" matches and only if you stay until the match is over. If you leave mid match it will NOT count.
