Double agent runtime Crash

Hi guys,

I'm on the PC DVD Version. Updated DA and on XP SP2.

My problem is that on the Shanghai level, after i get to a certain point in the level only when saving will my game crash to desktop with a microsoft runtime error. Same error whenever the game saves after this point. Even if it is an autosave by the game itself.

Any ideas? this is driving me nuts!

Was this ever resolved as I am having the same problem on the same mission. i have unlocked the safe but I cannot progress due to each time the game saves it crashes to desktop with a runtime error.

I have an Intel Core2duo, Windows Vista and a BFG 8800gts 320MB

OMG yes!!!! This is the EXACT problem I am now having. I cant get past any point in Shanghi when I try to save the game myself or when the game auto saves. I've already laser mic'd the meeting and I'm inside the building after yanking the guy out of the window! Try to climb the ladder and the game autosaves, only to CRASH. ANY save and the game crashes...

Official drivers for my 8800's.... sli or no sli.... all the patches for the game.... with AND without the -ll .... I'm not a novice gamer here folks, been doing this for over 15 years so I know what I'm doing when I say I've tried EVERY combination I can think of.....

Stevesoco, I'm having the same problem.
I'm also in the Shanghai mission and I can't proceed, when the game autosaves it crashes, and if I try to save the game it also crashes. Did you ever find a fix?

I have an nVidia 9800GTX and running XP SP3.
I have the DirectX released in March, and patch 1.02.

Any help from you or somebody else would be great.

I'm having exactly the same issue in the Shanghai mission: when auto save occurs (for me it's when I got outside the doors of Room 2046), it crashes, giving the same error message. Has anyone found a solution to that? Thanks!

Shanghai Level goes fine for me though they are few number of A.I Bugs...mine crashed on Kinshasa level...each time i load a saved game..the game will crash.i tried restarting the level..but still no luck..whenver i do a quick load..the game will crash loading my quick saved game...

PC version is full of bugs!! i never had all these issues on my xbox 360...
