This is my first post. I normally check in to the forums at least once a day, and enjoy all the fun you guys seem to be having. It is a good way to pass some time while waiting to see if I can get online soon in D'ni. I got to thinking, while reading various complaints, grips, etc., about my first game experience. That led me naturally to wondering how others first became hooked on the world of PC gaming, and what was their first experience. So I propose a sort of 'true confession' thread to see if anyone else might be interested in talking about their 'first time." http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'll even start with my own true confession. It was 20+ years ago. Sorta dates me, I know, but what the heck? I was shown a DOS based game called Pyramid of Doom. I was instantly hooked, even though by today's standards that game was straight out of the dark ages. Has anyone else ever played that game? It was cumbersome, awkward, slow, and totally wonderful!

Thirty-two games later I'm still hooked.

BTW, I am Olfa in Achenar.

Well, my first time was in the back seat of my dad's car. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Memories... I was just rooting through a rather dusty box full of 5.25 floppies that were for my PC Junior (still have it) and came across DOS 3.21 for PC Jr, and another disk with some IBM Basic games dated 10-83:
Blackjack, Cribbage, Caves, and Kingdom.
I wonder if they're still readable. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
