I really cannot belive that I am reading this..............the latest additional patch notes say that

"If you join a game through The All Seeing Eye (ASE) game service and you press the ESC key during the introductory video playback, Raven Shield will crash.

Workaround: If you don't want to wait for the introductory videos to end when joining a game on The All Seeing Eye (ASE), you can rename your video directory to something else. Doing so will prevent the logo intro videos and the spinning RAINBOW in the map loadin menu from being played. Don't forget to rename it to its original name if you want to play a single player campaign."

Please tell me this was just written by someone with a strange sense of humour..........or are you really saying that UBI are aware of a problem but cannot be bothered to fix it properly.

Besides which...UBI are basically telling us to alter our files in the RVS folder......now correct me if I am wrong...but is that not contrary to the EULA????

I think they're trying to get us a much delayed patch and I for one am grateful for that. I'm sure the ASE/crashing bit will be handled in a subsequent patch.

Get used to it, UBI doesn't actually know how to code, it's more like a hit or miss thing, so they hit a couple things in one patch, make some new problems, and then then go after those while making new ones...I guess you could call it job security?

Yeah, I just edited my intro vids, so they don't run anyways.

i already have the intro skipper.....so the new bug being introduced by this patch will not affect me......BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT......the point is UBI are releasing a patch with a known bug and are telling people to alter their ravenshield files!!!..........as expressly forbidden in the End User Licence Agreement........and just being lazy instead of fixing the bug.

Well i got bets that this patch will be delayed for some useless reason. So far i am not not going to believe anything what UBI says until i see it. They have said about fixing the original bugs (frag bug, ladder bug, trigger bug), but they still occur. So this patch like the 1.4 will create new ones.

Let's look at this reasonably. You've got three seperate applications, developed by three seperate companies: RvS, PB and ASE.

Right now, RvS and ASE work together. Patch 1.41 will modify how RvS operates by incorporating PB. SOO maybe the problems they are describing have nothing to do with RvS or PB, but need to be addressed by ASE. So until a new version of ASE is released to handle PB inside RvS, UBI has informed the community up front that there will be issues with ASE and provided some work arounds.

So just calm down, have a beer, and enjoy your day.

Some people will just never be satisfied. Too bad, life is too short to be unhappy so much of the time.

Remember this rule. . .

Just because it worked in/on someone else's computer does NOT mean it will work on yours!

Good Hunting!
