View Full Version : Very weird yet interesting problem..

I just recently installed FarCry again. This time on my new computer. (Old one ran FarCry like **** ti 4600 :P)

My new pc. 7800 GTX fx55 whole deal etc.

So ya i installed it and the patches. Works insane 1600 res/ultra settings full aa/af. Played for 6 hours without stoping. Now with the problem..

I pop in the cd today and it just doesnt want to start. Im like ok my drive died. Put in oblivion works put FarCry back in doesnt. My drive doesnt even detect FarCry cd. oh ya and my CD is in mint condition so thats not it ether...

So what the hell is wrong?

It has to be the CD. Try cleaning it and then see if it works.

nope. I did some more tested and it seems to be even weirder then i thought. Check it.

I had a problem like this whe I re-installed windows and I had to download an updated driver for the DVD drive. Now the game works perfectly http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
