Problem with installing IL2fb patch v1.0 to v1.22 and Multiplayer question

Hi Guys,

I bought recently IL2FB and now I want to have upgraded to version 1.22 but I have some problems with it so I need your help http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I downloaded the zip file and I need to extract it to the main IL2 folder? I was not for sure but I did it anyway. But when I start the game still version 1.0 will show up so I must have done something wrong. I also wanted to try multiplay but when I click on a game this message will show up:

"IL2fb dogfight not installed"

Can anyone help me out?

Hi. You could get the patch (116MB) from UBI.com

With regards to the MP. My advice is that you first try and become a crack pilot before attempting taking the pro's on http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif but you should get on Hyperlobby. I don't know the link by heart but i'm sure you'll find it around here somewhere. You can get the game to work from there. Just download their program.

But be aware that almost everybody is flying the joined install-game!

And, like Abe said, if you truly want a lot more choice of servers and games online, go get the merged install. (Get Ace Expansion Pack and Pacific Fighters... if you can!)

It sounds like you were trying to join a game at ubi.com.

There was a bug in the install.It requires a renaming of some registry keys.

There was some info in the tech support area at ubi.com.

Also make sure you have the correct patch.It looks like you need the large(116 megs) one.
