Let me get this out of the way real fast, I have not played the game as the title may imply, these are just my thoughts regarding the game from what I have seen and what I have read here.
I really have an unholy addiction to the HoMM series.
I work for a game site and have played games for over 25 years and there are only a select few games that I just keep playing. HoMM is right up there!
Here is the thing, I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that I don't think a game should be announced unless it was no more than three months away from release. I will say that I don't mind if it is announced a year from release as long as I don't have to hear anything about it until, well, it is three months from release.
I knew that HoMM 6 was coming a year before hand. I was happy! What did not make me happy was knowing that the forums were sitting here and that I read them every day knowing that there is no way no real info is going to be released til it is closer to the game to come out.
I am really really glad that HoMM 6 is coming. However, the lack of information and the speculation from all the forumites, almost makes me put HoMM6 right there with Diablo 3.

I would reallllllly like to see a release date. Most people I talk to seem to think it will come out in April or May. I am guessing that has gotta be close.
We all love HoMM and to be honest, most of us are going to buy it regardless of how it is remade. Each version of the game has had its own charm and H6 will as well.
