Beta Keys, have they been distributed? [Archive]

This is my first post, but I'm a long time lurker around here. I'm very much looking forward to this game, and would love to have an opportunity to be in the VIP Beta Test.

Have the keys been distributed yet? I read a few threads here this morning, and I can't seem to figure out, yes or no. :P

yes the key's are distributed. onley the steem key wil bee sent to the ppl who have been selected for the beta test.

Did you get one of the Scratch Cards? Cause maybe thats why, i dont believe the other keys have been given out yet (if any at all) as im sure Wuzzi/ another Ubi Rep. would have said something.

They have started to hand beta keys out. Different gaming sites had 400 keys each to give out to the first 400. I got mine like that atleast!

TIME OUT. its possible that the keys are being given out by other websites prematurely, but we will know when Ubisoft distributes the keys that THEY have, and people signed up for on the website to receive.

Already been confirmed.

Wuzzi said he will give loyal forumers a Beta Key if they don't get one.

I wish that was the determining factor... it could be read as so:

"Sign-Up and Post... join the RUSE Community and get an opportunity to "play"/test the Beta"...

I think this method would make these forums more alive and ppl who actually post will be able to give good feed back on the beta... rather than some person peruseing the web, and signing up for the beta... (those ppl would be of little help)

ps. did they say it was going to be a multiplayer beta or sp beta?

Believe me, you dont want it to say Sign up and post to get into the beta... TRUST ME. There is a difference between a loyal member (Someone who posts quality posts about the game) and someone who just posts to get into a beta (generally spam).

If that was the case, yes the forum would be more lively, but, most of the topics would be repetitions of things we already have or just plain old spam. And we dont want that.

He said he got a VIP key, most likely means he was at leipzig. So your questions are for naught.

And doesn't really change the fact we have yet to hear much official about it, and it would be nice if we did get something.

Uhm, there's a difference, there were a bunch of people who where at the games-com at leipzig, they got some cards, for which they could register to be guaranteed beta keys, and i believe he is one of them.

And we don't know if the beta has begun, just that keys are being handed out.

Finally, yes, he can't just share his impressions if it is a closed beta.

It's a reasonable deduction on my part considering there are very few ways of actually getting a key, and considering how they've been advertising the beta, i'm pretty sure things would be announced.

so how will the communication of bugs, problems, and gameplay be done... i understand the idea of a "closed" beta, but i thought closed refered to the number of avalible keys... rather than open where it is open for the public to play.

i've been part of several betas... and the communication within the forums is essential in finding out issues...

Sorry for the hiatus, I've been pretty busy all weekend, and such.

I was able to snag a VIP key from a fansite. Timed google searches for the win. The information that I have is that the beta should start around the 30th of this month. :P

That's what a birdie from Ubisoft told me.

Top of the forum boards(I would post the link but I'm on an iPod)... The beta starts on the 30th Ubi is giving out THEIR keys a few days before... OTHER SITES have already given out theirs it seems that's how they have it.
