I thought I heard that there will be a skirmish mode, but when I say skirmish I mean that there will be the option to fight with humans and AI as either teammates or opponents.
Please have AI in skirmish.

I am not sure about fighting with the AI as a teammate (because that would create problems because either it will just go off on it's own and you can't coordinate with it, or the AI listens to what you say, and makes it harder because you have to deal with an entire other force), but on one of the interviews they said that there would be multiplayer co-op, humans vs. AI.
I hope that answers your question.

There is a skirmish mode and a single player campaign ive picked up from various interviews and videos.
also the AI in this game is ment to be supremely good, wether that is true remains to be seen ai must be pretty good if voice control works well.

I just want an AI that's smart, intuitive, and inginuitive. I'm not much of an online player myself, so I want something that'll keep me playing this game.
Despite my dislike for EA and C&C3, I like what they did with the AI on having the different modes for it. The problem is that once it's that mode, than it's that for the whole game, and it's no fun trying to come up with a strategy to beat them.
What would be good is an AI that is constantly switching tactics depending on what the situation is. All that you would choose is what they are more "leniant" towards, not set in stone. That would definately make the skirmish mode fun.

i like the sound of AI vs Human mode. but id kinda like an offline skirmish mode... with AI on ur side as well, they will do their own thing, so keep up. or maybe you can send them vocie chats that give them an ai script... like, you say "Defend", they will find a good defensive spot and defend that until you give them orders... like, "Stay with me", "Attack player X" "i need helos at Echo 13"

but that would be just like they were part of your army, there would be no difference other then you would have a bigger army.

I'd be cool if the AI can adapt and change strategy.

Although it sounds cool I hope these guys know the difference between "fun and challenging" and "annoying and frustrating". Leniant is fun, rushing is not.

yeah if the game finishes before the real action starts it wouldn't be as fun.

big armies are fun, space based attakcs also fun. put em both together http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif that will be awsome. but the AI will have to be good to make it worth your time to get both of those things.

how bout u can preset the AI to certain styles eg player 3 attack/defend or a kind of in between like on normal RTS games, or random so they might come at u when u don't expect it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

After checking out X360gamer or one of those magazines (which again I didn't buy because I didn't find there was that much info), I read an interview where DePlater and Geriaty describe ENdwar. At least from that article I got the impression that there will be NO skirmish AI. The only AI will be in the singleplayer after that it's just a MMO campaign where we all duke it out amongst ourselves.
I feel kind of let down if this IS true. I know someone said that Ubisoft has tended not to make AI for MP. I hope that's not the case. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

I don't think that is correct, I remember reading something where he said something about co-op modes where you (and your teammates) had to try to hold out as long as you could against constant AI assaults, there were also some other co-op game types that I can't remember right now. i am looking for where I found this for you
ok, I found it, it was in a video interview (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2880705328101551986&q=endwar&total=409&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=6), he talks about it about 4 minuets and 25 seconds in
he called that game type I spoke of earlier a blitz, and he said that there would be another co-op mission kind of like terrorist hunt in R6

It would be very strange that there is not Skirmish mode. I hope that there will be one.

Ok, I found this in a GamesRadar interview:
"Has as much focus gone into to the single-player game too?
de Plater: Yeah, you can play a single-player version of that same online campaign. There are scripted missions that lead up to how we get to WWIII and then you can play the meta-campaign turn-by-turn and you can play as any one of the three factions. It might be ten or 12 hours to play once but then you can play that from the point of view of all three factions. There's a good 30-40 hours of single-player gaming that'll be different every time you play."
