Hi to all, I am a newbee here but not in the Heroes series. I tried to install Heroes V demo on my 4 year old PC and it seems that it is time to upgrade it. So my question is for the ones that have Heroes V working flowlessly:
Can you name your video card, processor, mainboard and sound card? I know the recommended requirements (my PC meets minimum specs but work like a pain). Thanks, and see you soon on a battlefield.

Hopefully you're being serious because, in all honesty, I've built this piece-meal and it took a lot of doing since I'm a graduate student (=broke).

Had the mobo about 2 months before the CPU which was about a month before the memory, etc, etc, etc... and I had an ASUS ATi X300SE in it for a couple of months before I could get the 6600GT as well...

So it took me awhile!

When I was a graduate student (=broke) I was lucky that my PC supported Heroes 3 and didn't have to upgrade it because, at that time it was mission impossible. Fortunatelly I can decide about my own destiny now. And the destiny is: Go Heroes V on the best machine...

Point of advice: Wait for Conroe to upgrade. The new Intel Core chips are wiping AMD's offerings off the table in all ways possible.

Amazing stuff. Sad to say they'll be kings for awhile until AMD produces a new 65nm core from Fab 36 in 2007, but until then, I'd definately go with Conroe.
