I might be the only one in here with this problem but I figured that it wouldn't hurt to ask.

When ever I play scpt multiplayer I cannot use my mouse wheel to accelerate or decelerate my characters speed. When playing single player a simple alt-tab fixes the situation but that is not the case for multiplayer. This also causes a problem for me when using either the binoculers or the scope on the merc weapon. I can however enter the zoom mode, I just can't zoom any more then the standard 2x.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can remedy the problem please let me know.

No such thing as a stupid question...

1) Yes my mouse wheel works perfectly outside of the game and in other games (including scpt single player)
2) I have a logitech wireless opticle mouse
3) By settings you mean which settings exactly, game settings or general mouse settings?

I had this same problem. What you need to do is to open up an internet explorer window with Splinter Cell minimized (just press windows button) and scroll up or down the webpage, then maximize Splinter Cell and your mouse should work again. It worked for me.

Make sure you download the latest mouse drivers from the logitech website.

I have a logitech cordless mouse with current drivers and it works fine.
