Okay, unless they say otherwise, Ubisoft has straight up LIED about this game on several fronts, nobody is being little kids here except Ubi for not commenting. They SAID there were 20 characters, they STILL SAY according to this website that there are 20 characters, they SAID this was celebrating 25 years of turtles, not the last...how many, like 4? They said this game would include stuff from all iterations of the franchise, I see the CGI movie and the 2007 series and thats all. Oh, and some Rabbids to just crap on it all even more.

Honestly, if this is it-- they had 10 question marks on the website and only had 3 Rabbids to show for, I will feel cheated.
That would be a huge slap in the face to everyone coming to this website, to this forums, posting wish-lists and making guesses-- all for those question marks. Those question marks would be un-kept promises.

Yeah... let's all buy a horrible game in the hopes that it might somehow lead to them creating a badass sequel. No. They wont decide to make a good game if we reward their failure with our hard earned cash. They are not "trying their best" either. How many threads have been made on this forum specifically asking them to include Bebop & Rocksteady? HOW MANY?!!! They know what we wanted and they refused to deliver. It's as simple as that.

Part of me is still hoping that they're ultra, super-secret characters and if it turned out that they ARE in the game, I'd go and buy this game in a heartbeat. But as things stand right now, this game doesn't include characters from all TMNT universes, just two recent universes. If UbiSoft reads this forum, then they most certainly do know what we want... and I'm almost certain that they're failing to deliver. Bebop and Rocksteady would be a huge selling point for this game, so if they don't have a little trailer showing them off between now and the official release date for the game, then I'd think it's a safe bet that they're not in the game. And I'm starting to think that may be the case and that, as many here have already surmised, that all those question marks on the official site were nothing more than a blatant lie. From what I've heard, even the strategy guide only lists characters that we already know about.

Thank you for repeating the same **** I had to put up with over at IGN's forums. Way to open old wounds.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Melee had a bad character roster and it's gameplay made up for it. How do you know this game won't be any different? I'm ****ed too. Not because of the Rabbids but because the development teams flat out lied to us and because Ubisoft won't stop shoe-horning Rabbids into every game of theirs. But I'm willing to at least see if the game gets decent to good reviews. Otherwise, it'll be a rental first before I blow money on it.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the Rabbids, and I plan to at least try out that Rabbids Go Home game. I just want them out of my TMNT 25th Anniversary title. Although I'll at least give the Ninja Rabbid a pass. (If only for the toilet seat it wears for a "shell". That and it somewhat passes as a joke character)

The melee roster arguement is a good one, but it might be better putting it in brawl's context.
Most people call Brawl's roster compartively bad (a lot of dead weight and no new female characters). Yet people still want a next game and the outrage is nothing like this.
Why? Yes the series is more popular but more importantly, Sakurai or anyone else NEVER lied about its contents. Ubisoft (at this stage) has delibrately attempted to overhype their game and lied to get more attention.
Now they don't deliver, what other possible reaction can you expect? It's pretty hard to be rational when the truth of the matter is that we were outright lied to.
Mind you its possible there are some 'super' secret characters but something is telling me no. I really hope I'm wrong though.

Hmmm 25 characters 25th aneversary maybe
but i don't think thats going to make a complete select aa charcters rectangle I would like that http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif
I thought it might be 23 characters because
theres 13 right now and 7 SECRET characters
and since RABBIDS aren't part of the series in the TMNT comics or shows/movies I think
those 7 in the TMNT website Are not the rabbids you guys think it is there characters that you don't know yet and thats why I think theres going to be 23 characters plus the Random pick slot http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

No. Neither argument is a good one. Melee and Brawl both each had a few cool surprises as far as new characters went. Melee gave us Peach who was pretty cool in that game. I would think someone named "peachrocks" would remember that. They also gave us the ice climbers which were characters from a game I had when I was a kid that I thought everyone had forgotten about. I was pleased as punch to see them. Then Brawl finally gave us the classic Gunpei Yokoi character, "Pit" who I had been waiting to see return ever since I played the original Kid Icarus. Brawl also gave us Sonic, who may not be one of my favorites, but was highly requested by the fans.

So far from what we've seen, it looks like it's true that not only did Ubisoft make a horrible decision to throw in three Rabbids, but they also lied about the secret seven and hyped about "Who else will join the Brawl?" in every trailer even though they knew it was just three Rabbids. I still believe there might be more we haven't seen, but whether that's true I really don't care xD
But for christ sake, tejupilco87 is right. You guys are such babies. All you guys are doing in the forums are crying and whining about Ubisoft "ruining the game". Please shut up and be reasonable like Peachrocks. We all know your ****ed off, but that's no reason to not act civilized. In a few weeks, I know everybody is going to accept the Rabbids, enjoy the game, and that'll be that :3

Not everyone was thrilled with the huge amount of clones in Melee's roster and Peach was known about very early on, it'd be like saying TMNT Smash up gave us April. Not quite the same, but Peach wasn't a surprise when people bought the game, she was known before release.
Brawl's roster had quite a lot of people raging when they found out Game and Watch and ROB got spots over Krystal and ROB.
HOWEVER the point being made here, Brawl never promised us anything they didn't deliver on, TMNT Smash up did. That's the bottom line for why so many people are angry.

well I am not buying this game. I am not going to give $50 dollars for this and there aren't any other TMNT characters in the game. Three Rabids we certainly didn't need. One was fine with me.
I want to play more than Fugitoid and Donatello. I wanted to play as some mutants as well. The rest of the roster doesn't appeal to me other than Utrom and Splinter. I would consider playing as "Hip Hop Mike", but no mutants means no money from me.
Plus that strategy guide is only half complete if it doesn't show how to unlock the mutant characters. Even if Ubisoft is holding out with surprises, that guide isn't worth buying if it is not complete.
I got really excited for the game and even went and got it reserved at Gamestop. Though at this point it looks like on the 22nd I will just get my money back.
I had a lot of hopes, but it is looking pretty bad at this point.
Well, at least I still have Smash Brawl to amuse me while I wait for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
Ubisoft wasted a lot of time going to those conventions showing off this game and having people excited. I just don't get how they would commit resources like that and send staff to E3, Comic Con and PAX just to give us the presently revealed roster. The taunts of people ( at 1Up) reading off a list of people and saying "Leatherhead" and not to mention the Official Nintendo Magazine indicating about seeing Bebop and Rocksteady was all just a ploy.
I am very disappointed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Krystal is not an important character. She's allright, but only a diehard furrie would be upset about her being excluded for MrG&W and Rob. Also Melee giving us Peach is NOTHING like smash up supposedly giving us April considering they chose the cgi monstrosity that looks nothing like her. The Melee and Brawl Peach were fantastic interpretations of the character. Melee and Brawl both had an interesting and diverse roster. Smash Up has managed to come up with a roster that's even worse than Smash Bros 64's, and that's quite a feat.

Mr. Game & Watch, Ice Climbers, Pit... what do these characters all have in common with, say, Bebop and Rocksteady?
That's right, they're classic characters that the franchise has, for the most part, forgotten about.
Ah, but now, what's one big difference between them?
Nintendo included them into their games, blending new and old alike... while UbiSoft is only concentrating on the new. Ubisoft's thought process seems to be that if the character didn't appear in something in the last six years, it isn't worth putting into the game.
