I bought the Ruse Pc retail copy and still I need to download 5gb update from Steam? Have Eugen really updated the game so much from release or am I doing something wrong?

lol wut? That's crazy. There's no 5gb update. I guess they want you to download the full game.

Ye it's crazy man. Thought this was one of the pros of buying a retail copy. That is to not have to download the game. But when I finished installing from the disc, this update started and when I put the disc in again I can only select play/uninstall/reinstall. And if I push play the update starts?

That is a known bug ... you have to deinstall the RUSE Demo and Free Gameplay weekend and delete all files in steam/commonfiles from the demo and Free Gameplay Weekend. Than it works from DVD^^
