View Full Version : Glitch Coop T-Hunts

I've got a fairly big beef here. It has to do with the spawning. We've been doing some coop T-hunts to rank up. Is it my imagination that the terrorists might be aliens with matter transport? Kidding.

Example: We'd gone through Kill House on realistic room by room hunting the last two terrorists. I had two of my team at one end of the house by the stairs, one watching the stairs, the other the door. Two of us checked each room on the second floor, then proceeded down stairs on the other end where there is no stairwell up to the roof. You guessed it. Two terrorists spawn right behind us. Realistic? NO!!

This happens quite a bit. I know what causes it. The spawn trigger is scripted to spawn the terrorists in a particular place, which works fine if you enter it in the 'correct' way, but if you enter it in the opposite way of the design, they will spawn behind you. This needs to be corrected. It is a very amaturish use of a spawn trigger. Devs aren't perfect.

Four of us have 3 greens on our connections. I'm hosting on a T3.

So until this is fixed I guess we have to assume an area that is cleared might not be cleared at all.

in all seriousness there are several spots that are scripted spawns - LVU has one in the magazine rack area just above the player spawn point - you send a team out back and a team out front and all of a sudden 3 terrorists appear between both teams in that magazine room - oh joy.

over time you learn what to watch for and handle them - I agree it sucks and is not very intuitive - but in the end it is what it is.

I hope they make their scripts a bit more intelligent but I wont lose any sleep over it.

It's too bad all the terrorists aren't spawned when the map loads. I guess that would cause too many problems with you throwing one grenade and having them all rush one doorway to their deaths like playing GoldenEye.

I guess it's to keep the terrorists from all bumrushing you at the beginning since they're obviously coded to be more aggressive than they are in story mode.

But yeah, sometimes you get some goofy spawns. Once in Research Labs, 3 of us were playing co-op THunt. My buddies went up the ladder from the L-shaped loading area while I stayed down below to cover. (after we had already gone end-to-end in the loading area and cleared it)

As soon as the 2nd man hit the top of the deck, a new terrorist spawned between me and the ladder behind the motorized lift! (was it the lift? a box? I can't recall. I just remember having to panic fire because a guy just magically popped in front of me while I was moving towards the ladder) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
