So I "punch in" w/ fraps...get my avi?
How do I choose views etc?
Is fraps limited to what you see is what you get? (wysiwyg)

just point and shoot
see something you like (whether just playing or watching a track) just press record and it will capture, no rendering
to keep it smooth however i suggest recording in half speed (or 1/4 spped using ctrl-a and alt-a) and speeding it up again in yer editor

I use Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0, although to be honest, it is my first and only video editing program, so I cannot comment on others such as Vegas 5.0. I can tell you however, that Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0 is easy to use (I learned it by playing around with it really) and provides a hell of a lot of function to deal with your movies. I don't feel limited...
