Can somebody help me please, my SH3 installs up to the point where im about to play the game when suddenly I get this annoying message MENU ID NOT FOUND 0xla000008
and cannot continue with the game.
Has anybody got any ideas or had the same problems?
I hope somebody out there can help me

Can you be more specific about the point at which the game crashes? Is it before you get to the main menu, or is it after that as the actual game is loading to start a patrol/mission?
Has the problem started suddenly, or have you been able to play the game before now?
Have you installed the 1.4b patch?
Have you installed any mods?

Ive been able to play the game before ive no mods installed and not patched it the warning comes on when the red progress bar fills up and the game should start thats when the warning appears

Check whether or not you need the 1.4b patch. Recent pressings of the SH3 DVD are often ready-patched up to version 1.4b.
Go to your Silent Hunter directory Program Files > Ubisoft > SilentHunterIII, locate 'SH3.exe', right click, select 'Properties', then switch to the 'Version' tab. If it's patched to 1.4b you should see this:

(1.4.0.1 = 1.4b)
If it's not version 1.4b, download and install the correct patch:
