Went into gamestop today to pick up my copy of Battlefield Bad Company (I know it's not RB6V), and had a discussion with the manager about the games that have been coming out as of late. The good, the bad, and the indifferent.
When the subject of RB6V2 came up he said that that particular store has stopped taking trade-ins of RB6V2. When I asked why, he went into the back room and pulled out a huge box filled with used RB6V2 games, and replied "I think we have more than enough to sell for the next three years". He said they've NEVER had that amount of trade-ins on any other game that he can remember.
Now granted UBI has already reaped/raped the profits from this game, and is already moving onto their next big scam, but that experience spoke volumes to me.
It's not only the die-hard RB6 fans that are no longer playing the game, even the idiots are realizing that it's nothing but a POS.
Peace out http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I went to my local game dealer a couple of days ago and vegas 2 is nr4 of the most selling games at that dealer. This is for xbox360 however, the dealer does not have any "top list2 of pc games.

And that's why I'm glad I sold my game the day after the horrid patch came out.

Yeah, but you know what, they may have made the money THIS time, but Ubi will take it up the butt next time they release a game, when all those people who were suckered in decide not to buy it. I can't wait to see the numbers for their next game...

I have heard many similar stories.
Tons of traded Vegas 2 games.

I just received an email from Ubisoft and they are now underselling their retail stores by offering Vegas 2 for $29.95 for 3 days!
http://digitalstore.ubi.com/5736/product/Buy-Tom-Clancy...Six-Vegas-2-Download (http://digitalstore.ubi.com/5736/product/Buy-Tom-Clancy%27s-Rainbow-Six-Vegas-2-Download)

I don't like digital download and wouldn't recommend anyone buy this game right now. If Ubisoft actually delivers on their promise with some very substantive new fixes and content then my opinion may change.

I only posted the link to prove my information as being accurate!

Like I have mentioned in the past.
Wait awhile and you will find Vegas 2 in the bargain bin for $10 or less.
(Unless Ubisoft really comes through with major improvements)

Yeah, my copy lasted all of a week or so too.

Honestly, it's sad.

Because if someone took them helm of Rainbow Six that had the passion that Hideo Kojima has for MGS or Cliff Bleszinski has for Gears of War then the possibilities could be endless for fans of the R6 series.

MGS4 set a whole new standard for graphics and gameplay for me, and although R6 will never get the same treatment as far as development goes as MGS4 it's OK.

Because we don't need R6 to be a milestone in the history of video games, we just want a game that meets the professional standards that we expect from a video game developer.

We don't ask for much.

We'll obviously settle for less than stellar graphics, just make a game that doesn't have an endless amount of technical issues and tweek the gameplay a little.

Then this board would be a little less volatile.

YOU THINK THEY WOULD BUY MY TWO COPIES BACK FOR 29.95? I'd be happy and leave this game forever -RIGHT NOW

I'll repost what I just stated in another thread at the risk of being redundant.

"The rule that I learned in customer relations mgmt. was this:

-nine out of ten people won't complain when they have a bad experience, they just won't come back/purchase again.

There are a finite number of gamers in this world at any given moment. It will only be a matter of time before most of them realize that UBI will rape them and steal their money, nothing more.
When that time comes, UBI is in for a VERY rude awakening.
End of story!!"

Ponder upon this... How many of those guys who traded their copy of R6V2 (at a loss) will go out and buy the next Ubi title, or even worse, pre-order it?

I'm betting a good 80% will and that's what UBI is banking on... sadly!

Yepper....soon to be a socialist state, then dictatorship.
Back on topic...a buddy just went to pickup his Battlefield Bad Company today as well and I told him to ask how many used copies of RB6V2 they had. He said close to 100!!! (in one Detroit area gamestop).

Wow, looks like this huge ground-breaking orgasmic announcement Ubi's still dangling in front of us will come a little too late for a majority of their customers.

Tsk tsk, what a shame... see what happens when you procrastinate?

I think it's quite ironic that the people Ubi builds their games around and looks to for input (consolers) are the first ones to abandon them when even THEY hate the game!

And I realize it's only because PC users can't return their games, in fact it's sad that the ones who suffered the most with these dumbed-down changes are the ones who are stuck with it!

If you own the game on PC, you can return the game.

Just say, "The game box says it supports 2-10 players on co-op, but that's not true when I actually played the game."

(Applies only if you live in the United States of America)
