Does anyone know where I can find Il2 movies the only windows media player can play? I am in the USAF an there computers suck which means i cna install it. I still want to see some movie but when i googled it i got ****, trailors, fights agains the AI which i think is REALLY WEAK. Are there any online moves out there? Like movies ho have good pilots fighting online with the bf109 series or something? I like the 109 noone ever flys it though. So, if anyone knows of any movies please tell me, just remember, windows media player codecs only, and good 109 movies. Too bad noone has amde a battle of britain online movie.

Most of the veteran filmmakers use DivX or XviD to compress their movies, so you may be out of luck if you can't downlowd those codecs. NetWings is probably your best bet for finding films right now.

But again, the pickings are slim if you can only play WAV files.

WMP 10 plays pretty much everything. If you can install ver 10 then you should be set. Even WMP 9 works for most things.

Heyy where you station at? Overseas?

I had the same problem at work. Military computers and ISS techs at work.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Like Tooz has said, get with ISS dude(Computer Tech) for your squadron or group and get him to upgrade Windows Media Player to either ver. 9 or ver. 10.

Also get them (say please!) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif to install Xvid Codecs.
http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/

With that you can view all the movies that have been produce here at your work station... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

If your ISS Techs won't let you install Xvid codecs, then at least get them to upgrade to Microsoft Media Version 10.

One movie that comes to mind as far as Bf-109 movie is from "Gutted's" Legend!! Version 10 will play it no problem.

Here is an link to his movie:
"Legend" (http://www.netwings.org/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcd.cgi?az=redirect&link_id=000001551&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffiles.netwings.org%2Ffiles%2Ffb_v ideos%2FLegend_-_the_bf109%2FLegend_the_bf109.zip)

Good luck
