1. Step in front of TV and be recognized.
2. I have an option to plug in my current weight.
3. The game greets me and asks:
3a. Would you like to do cardio, strength, core etc.
3b. Or would you like to do a combination of the above.
3c. How long would you like to workout for.
4. After choosing, it then would ask:
4a. Is this a single day workout
4b. Or would you like to create a workout schedule
4c. If you choose schedule, you have options of how many days a week, or specific days during the week to match my available schedule.
5. It then would ask what would like I like to listen to while I workout.
5a. Default game music
5b. Customized playlist of my music
6. Would you like a trainer today (if so, which one), just go at it on verbal commands, or be placed in a class with other AI individuals.
7. Please connect your heart rate monitor now.
8. The game would really only track basic motion. Arms moving, legs moving when they are supposed to be moving. No rhythm, form checks. I shouldn't be relying on a $149 piece of plastic to correct my form and protect me from injury. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
9. It would encourage me only in the sense that if my BPM seemed low for the exercise we were doing, I'd get a little "Probably could kick it up a notch" word of advice.
10. Great workout today. The calories you've burned were X. Monthly totals X. Since you started the game X.
11. Are we done for today?
12. I see by your schedule, that we are working out in 2 days. I will send you a text to remind you of our date.
13. Have a nice day.
14. Please hit X to exit http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

:-) Some of these suggestions were actually available in a game called "YourSelf! Fitness" for the Original XBox...including how long you wanted to work out for, your choice of in-game music (not anything you could import), and even the location/scene you wanted to use.

hoferchr,

I owned that game and am sure that is why I miss them so bad! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif That was a great game with the scheduling option, asking how you felt prior to working out etc. I was on their forum for a long, long time also. I remember using the step bench with lunges and weights...ouch!

My Fitness Coach for the Wii was the same game, but with a different name. I was hoping that Your Shape would have been a true evolution of it, but unfortunately, it seems to have severely backtracked in these particular areas. I still use MFC to this day and so far, have nothing that can really replace it as of yet.

Their site indicates new hardware is coming down the pike in 2011 which will be great to see.

Ahh...the ability to work out with Maya again... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I also still own that game. It doesn't get nearly the use any more, though. YSFE is my new favorite!

Don't forget that YourSelf Fitness asked you which workout equipment you owned and would then incorporate those into the routine if you had it as well. I would love that, along with telling it what weight dumbbells I was using.

Finally, I got down on the floor and did some pushups and situps and the camera could show my outline just fine so why doesn't this game have any dang floor exercises? I think Ubi should start from the ground up and all your suggestions are excellent.

I remember that. It was a ball, weights and step bench if I remember right...or was there one more?
