Hey gang,
I know what your all thinking, blasphmey. How dare I say I am sick of multiplayer. Well the truth is If we look back in the recent forums, when the subject of the dreaded MP comes up, the newer members and the vets go at each others throats! Well, as a vet of the forum, I'm sick of it. If MP happens fantastic, if not, there is always RS3. The whole reason we love this game is the actual combat. There is nothing like it on the market right now. It is just making me a little mad to see everyone fight about something that is a secondary game feature. It is not like they radically changed a game concept like taking away the sword from the main character and replacing it with a rubber chicken. We need to get back on target here. We need to ask more about game mechanics, weapons, skills, etc.... Lets just put this MP business behind us and act like we are on the same team, because we are! On a personal note: To any of the new members who think I should take this advise and shove it, think again! I have been the only one to stick up for you guys when my comrades tried to tear your ideas and questions to shreds. I may not have the right to dictate anything on this blog, and I wouldn't want that, but just try to remember your place when you rebutle one of the older members of the forum. As far as my comrades go, try to be a little more respectful to the new members. They do have good taste if they chose to be on this forum http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

good point, but, if you got all the skills mastered, and you dont have any challenging enemies left, what then? drop the game and dont play anymore? or you can test your skills and make people want MORE and then they cant wait for RS3 (:

I think we all agree that RS2 will be one of the greatest games on the wii, multiplayer or not. The gameplay will be awesome and hopefully the success of RS2 will give them a larger budget and more experience with the wii motion plus when they make RS3(only for a Nintendo platform, please).

Tell that to Jason. He said He would like to port it it PS3 Motion-control and 360 Natal. Don't get me wrong, I hate on Sony and MS b/c I'm a Wii fanboy, but we can't deny the graphics and sound. I just think that Nintendo should finally have a hardcore game that does not involve super mushrooms or invincible stars.

Miyamoto is already giving hints about a small, cost-efficient system with up-to-date graphics technology. He also hinted that they would most likely keep the same controller interface(which is perfect for RS2 and RS3). I don't see any reason that they should abandon the exclusivity just for a quick buck.

Agreed bimbo. There have been hints from Miyamoto that indicate that the big N is developing an HD console. But no name yet. There's an article on it at G4tv.com wii menu. Imagine Zelda, Metroid, SSB, Red Steel 3, all in HD!!! Sounds great, but we'll have to see what MS and Sony will bring to the table.
And how ironic is it that MS and Sony referred to motion control as a gimmick, only to create something that makes you look like a drunk ballerina (Natal) and a ***** with a good idea (Itoy)?

Nintendo decided to go for motion control first and HD second. MS and Sony chose HD first and motion control second. HD has caught on and Nintendo really hit the nail on the head this time.

This isn't a fighter, so it doesn't need a versus.
Coop would've been nice but since there's only 1 main character, I don't see it being included in the final version.
I don't deem multiplayer neccesary for this game.

Respect for your bravery, but you are completely wrong. This game practically screams multiplayer(and so are the fans), but Ubi has evidently made their decision not to include it. Maybe next time. I just hope that next time isn't too late.

RS3 Multiplayer for the win

Good reviews + decent advertising = Much more RS to come. RS2 should do very well if people know about it and Ubi will hopefully stick with Nintendo in the long run.

I hope a sequal to Rs2 wouldn't be a completly different game, like Rs1 and Rs2....
