Hands down a great game but i dont like how you throw a grenade into a room, go in and think its clear cuz you just fragged it in multiplayer and theres a bad guy. And ive notices the "AI"S JUST RANDOMLY APPEAR outta thin air..BUT MOST OF ALL WE ALL AGREE WE NEED SOME KINDA LASER TRIP MINE THAT EXPLODES..Everyone keep posting how we want trip mines added..THERES SOOOOOOO muchyou can do with this game and thats what makes it soooooooooooo good A+

So it's sooooo good "even after you frag a room the A.I. spawns out of thin air"

What have we come down to?

No we don't need laser trip mines or trip mines of anyother kind.

Would you be happy if all you had to do was join a server and the game would play itself for you while you practiced coloring inside the lines in your coloring book?

If you can't figure out how to do it properly (it really isn't that hard to figure out), then you don't deserve to have the kill.

I'm sorry the game isn't quite dumbed down enough for you yet, but the game is dumbed down enough as it is.

We don't need even more ways for people to get kills without putting any thought into it.

i think a t.a.e.d (trip activated explosive device) would be a great addition to the game - it would not be something rainbow operatives would carry, but you would think that the terrorists would use such devices in a defensive capacity. the lasers in the game should not be visible to the naked eye - they should only show up when the thermal vision is turned on. if the lasers were not visible it would make taed's more effective.

what i thought would be a good blueprint for a taed would be to take a c4 type package - but which would explode in a large fireball - that you could attach to the walls, ceiling, floor and any doors - then eminating from the taed would be 2 sets of a series of say 10 lasers in a fan pattern - each set would be angled at 45 degrees away from the device - this would catch anyone trying to run past the device.

Maybe we can borrow wonder womans invisible jet while we are at it?

I dunno, maybe it's a good idea....I'm just not sure we need to add more features like these until the normal game is solid and functional.

Are laser trip mines you mention used often in the field and something a RB6 operative would run into often? Just curious if anyone knows

Seeing them as traps in Story Mode/TH would be fine. If they aren't scattered all over the place.

Having them in multiplayer wouldn't be ok.

There was a thread a while back about trip mines. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif A very good conversation took place over it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

ive never in my life heard or read about laser trip mines used in the field of CT operations like the ones in Rainbow games (im not saying if i havent heard it then it doesnt exist, obviously because details of such operations are usually not ever released public) but lets think about this logically

tripmines, mainly claymores, are usually used in defensive situations as an ambush against an aggressor.

usually the nature of a CT operation is generally on the offense. and in the case of rainbow, it seems like they primarily (almost exclusively) operate indoors, where you would never find a claymore, let alone a self-detonating "laser activated" one. you're just asking to kill many innocent lives with them.

i mean come on seriously, think about a hostage situation, do you honestly think there are going to be "friendly" claymores that will only allow the "good guys" to pass by unexploded? you guys been playing too much COD4.

Are all the bots coded the same? I would think not but I am wondering who decides what bot will do what in a situation. I am only talking about the SP Campaign or SP Terrorist Hunt.

Many a times, I get to a door, use the Cam and see two tangos standing right outseide the other side of the door and while that may prevent me from opening and shooting them dead, I could easily blast the door and they would be dead... Idiotic (read Lazy!) coding or normal/std situation in CT life?

Other times, I am behind cover, open the door, tango is about 3 feet from the door (not in front of it but on the side of the wall) and yet, I could easily stand there for seconds and he's not going to see me? or he sees me after I would have easily stabbed him to death 25 times?... Idiotic (read Lazy!) coding or normal/std situation in CT life?

Yet, another scenario, get to cover, cam shows no enemies but you can hear them talking so you know they are close, you open the door and peek inside only to find the tango in front of you, gun still pointing down, yet, the only sound you hear is a loud boom and you're dead... Idiotic (read Lazy!) coding or normal/std situation in CT life?

So, it appears that they are trying to make the bots do different things but they just suck at it or UBI doesn't give them enough time to finish the process.

Don't get me started on the Spawn of the Tangos on Terrorist Hunt, I mean, what was the logic behind it... Hey devs, hurry up with it, we're late as it is!!! I do recall specifically about an Interview with Therien where he said that was not going to happen in Vegas 2.

He (Therien) did throw the word "Tactical" like it was going out of style on the interviews and I thought... does he knows what tactical means or did UBI gave him a script to follow as well.

Not really having played any of the R6 games before, I was ok with all the changes of the game but it ruins the inmersion & replayability when you try to be as stealhthy as you can be only to be hit with a tripwire spawn and getting to a blood bath with them.

Also, does anyone cares about the Rescuing of the Hostages or it just another part of the game you have to cross? I remember getting a bit upset on the other R6 games when I blew the entrance and the hostages died because of me. Now, pffftt, if I can blow them up just for fun, I will gladly do so since they make it so obvius they will be there and they place the checkpoints inmediately before you have to rescue them.

I am sure we could start 100 different posts about a patch to fix the Spawns on Tango Hunt and we won't get a response but... has anybody heard anything about it or are they still trying to fix the Ubi logo swirling correctly at the beginning of the game?

NO! no trip mines!

COD4 has em

BF2 has em

Motion sensor + C4 works fine for me. no so many use MC4 so they are not spammed all over the maps.if R6V2 had em. ppl would use WAAAAY too much.

No...

You can't judge the overall gameplay because of an issue in THunt, that would be stupid.

Motion censors only fail if you're an idiot and place them high up on the wall. I always place them very low, and it works.

Plus, you don't have to put the C4 right next to the motion censor, you always place it a bit further away (where the person is heading).

I use it in team leader and other games like that and it works well.

tripmines would be an amazing addition to the multiplayer

as long as you have a little mini-jung you can deploy like a grenade to defuse them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

No it wouldn't. It would make multiplayer even more horrible then it already is. I'm not sure if it's even scientifically possible to be that bad, but it'll happen.

It's pretty sad how lazy people are getting. They don't even want to play their games anymore. They want the game to play itself for them.

First you've got autoaim because people don't want to/can't aim for themselves, so they have the game do it for them.

Now they're so lazy they don't even want to get the kill themselves! They want to be able to get kills for doing absolutely nothing.

If you don't want to play the game, why don't you go watch a movie instead? Geez! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

There were claymores, but they took time to place and you had to switch to the detonator.
