Sweet, the map hasn't been changed except for new repel/fast rope hooks. It looks well... prettier in the Unreal 3.0 engine.

I noticed in the video the developer is using the FAMAS but he had 41 rounds in a single magazine. I also noticed there were no scopes, lasers, red dots on his gun so maybe they added high capacity magazines as an add-on for assault rifles

i heard that too,

not sure if it's worth it on some bigger maps, but for up close maps it will be good

I just watched the video. At 2:46 he reloads and the magazine appears to be normal size

go back and look again, he reloads the ammo count reads 41 rounds.

it also looks like auto aim is back and in full effect. he gets a headshot+2 bonus from spraying at that distance .....

yea High cap mag is back. I confirmed it in the blowout on gametrailers.com.

G36 had 41 rounds. High mag gives you just an additional 10 rounds compared to back in RB6 Raven shield were you had a drum. Man that was sick back then. Ah... the old days. I wonder what other goodies will get back.

The maps really look sweet. In particular, our good old friends like the villa or the oil reffinery.

I noteced, how the developer stresses the multiple access points. That's the right attitude. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I just hope that this will hold true for the SP part. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

I love the sprint feature, when the player has to take the weapon off the aim. This might take away too much speed from the gameplay. Good!

Again, I really really hope, that the SP offers that kind of variety, too! Let's keep our fingers crossed! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Nice! Oil Refinery wasn't one of my more favorite maps but it will be nice to play a nostalgic RvS map.

It is obvious from the vids that have been posted and the information we have been given that the MLG influence on this game is to make it easier to hit targets while shooting from the hip and dancing around.

That is the type of game play MLG favors and that is the direction the game has gone.

I believe in one of the preview clips of the LE "expert" tips that one of the tips you see is them telling you to keep moving side to side while shooting.

A higher ammo mag would also favor this, more ammo in a mag = more spray and dance.

On that import/export map video, did he say that the upper level of the warehouse was blocked off like it was a good thing to do that?
Lopping off chunks of maps isn't good. Not everyone likes little halo-like maps that force fighting from 2' away.

so does everyone else. its called a computer assist (aka auto-aim), its not you.

just like being able to see in xray vision, its not some profound skill anyone possesses. its just another in-game handicap that gives players a false sense of "pwnage".

Hmmm, i see ur auto-aim point. But i played some games shooting from the hip as u say (how u do that anyway cause ur gun isn't at the hip. Or can u do something i cant. Must be not-litteraly...) and i dont really notice it. Sure i get those pwnage kills with the raging bull, but more often not. And when im running with the mp5 i barely get those auto-aim kills. Dont know about u guys, but i hardly notice it. I think, personnel, ur too critical. Didnt u liked Vegas?

That map looks awesome. I can't wait to try it. I never played the original R6 games but I bet that the original maps will be more popular than the new maps that the devs make.

Also, the high cap mags are dumb. 40 round mags for a G36C and FAMAS (and I'm sure other weapons as well) I've seen a 40 round mag for M16s and a 45 for AKs but they aren't used that often and I don't think there are high caps for the FAMAS. Hopefully most people will equip scopes over high cap mags. I won't use them, even if I use my weapons with only my iron sights.

i did like the game, it was fun, but im critical because im used to the older rainbow. to me vegas was too easy.

my K/D ratio was over 2:1. thats not great but i NEVER do that well. i always get around 1:1 or less. in most other games. also, more than 75% of my kills were headshots thanks to auto-aim. in every other game i only get less than 10% headshot kills.

i enjoyed playing it, but i really felt like i was cheating or something. there was too much handicap assist, and player advantages and i know that most of my kills were not me, it was the game assisting me. to me, that is not a rewarding experience.

if there is a 40 round magazine for an m16, than it should fit in the famas, as i believe both guns are stanag compliant meaning they accept the same m16 magazine.

I actually believe that most NATO guns will accept magazines from other NATO guns. Of course, they have to be the same caliber.

Now if you had good scores. Why didnt evrybody else? Why not just say ur good at the game? I see ur point, but...
Everybody else has it... so.
As for the old rainbow. I thought about this;

If a game is gonna be realistic it attracts serious players. How u gonna pawn them? I pawn players in Vegas cause most just play for fun, but i quess it would be different in a more serious game. Then i would have to take it to a professional kinda level. Not planning on it...

I think the realistic games dont appeal to the funplayers. Therefore its highly questionable if a game like upcoming Groundbranch will succeed. I think i would buy it, but dunno if its gonna succeed.

That is indeed true, The L85A2 can take M16 mags and vice versa. same with the AUG's and other such ISAF weapons.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">
A STANAG magazine is a type of detachable firearm magazine standardized by NATO in October of 1980.[1] Shortly after NATO's acceptance of the 5.56 × 45 mm NATO rifle cartridge, Standardization Agreement (STANAG) 4179 was authorized in order to allow the military services of member nations to easily share rifle ammunition and magazines during operations, at the individual soldier level, in the interest of easing logistical concerns. The magazine chosen for this standard was originally designed for the U.S. M16 rifle. Many NATO member nations, but not all, subsequently developed or purchased rifles with the ability to accept this type of magazine.

STANAG-compatible magazines can be made to almost any capacity, though those used for military service usually hold 20 or 30 rounds of 5.56 × 45 mm NATO ammunition. 40-round box magazines as well as 90-round drum magazines and 100-round Beta C-Mag drum magazines designed to comply with STANAG 4179 have also been manufactured.

Some firearms, while not originally manufactured to feed from STANAG magazines, can be converted to use them. An example is the Austrian Steyr AUG assault rifle, for which an alternate stock assembly is available to allow the use of STANAG magazines. Also the German Heckler & Koch G36 assault rifle features a "modular magazine well" system. This allows the original magazine well, engineered to feed from the proprietary translucent plastic magazine, to be replaced with one that accepts STANAG magazines. This system has been conceived for, and is in use with, G36-series rifles and carbines issued to several SWAT-like units in the United States of America. The civilian counterpart of the G36, the Heckler & Koch SL8 selfloading rifle, also includes a modular magazine well. The version sold in Europe will readily switch to STANAG feeding, while the version sold in the United States, having been imported during the period of effectiveness of the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, require significant modification of the upper receiver, in addition to the replacement of the magazine well and bolt carrier, before the rifle can accept the STANAG magazine </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
