I know it's a bit early to discuss expansion, but still.
First let's assume there WILL be more factions in an expansion and that, because it seems here that every faction has it's opposite, there will be 2 new factions. What could they be.
Will they finally create an aquatic town (always sounds like fun, but i can never see it work, ever seen a kraken walk through the mountains)
Will they bring barbarians back, what would be their opposite?
What if they created a third maplevel, besides ground and underground, where a new faction would live. I would love to see a cloudlevel for example where you walk on top of the clouds, and in the open spaces, you would see vague representation of the real map, so where mountains are, but not cities or mines or heroes. The cloud faction could have it's opposite in a ground dwelling faction that got tired of living in the clouds or got banished from there. They always have been there, but never felt it nescessary to go below, until the breakup, andwe figured out they where there.
Or is a second underground level better, one much deeper then the current one, with totaly distinct different features.

A deeper dungeon sound better than having creatures living in the sky.

The oppsit to barbarian would be somthing like conflux. But and acvadic race could also be oppositt to the barbarians who like the dessert.
I dont think introducing a third level sound as a good ide. I dident like the underground my self.
Im hoping that they will bringing in new heros if they are uniq. And if they are not they will make them uniqhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Conflux would be probably opposite to the barbarian town, but how would it fit in the story, i mean dungeon is renegade sylvan
Necropolis started with wizards from academy and demons hate everything havn stands for.
Plus conflux was a haphazard mix put together very fast because some morons decided to sent deathtreaths to NWC for the forgetown. I never liked the fact that the 4 elementals were different levels, they should have been all level 3 or 4. Plus i suspect the phoenix will be in the sylvan faction.
Perhaps the second town would be a barbarian offshoot, with barbarians that learned how to use magic

Or another non-magic player, vikings perhaps, the sea vs desert.
... no it dosnâ´t sound good, perhaps there will just be barbarians, and theyâ´ll be sort of neutrals/stabilisers.

I hope that we get Deep junge/swamp town or something and barbarians from north. Then we have all earth elements. Snow, desert, jungle/swamp, grass/normal?, forest, lava, death and undeground lands. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
In my opinion barbarians are might town and they are stupid and too greedily (like orcs allways). So some of them start to destroy jungles and search richness and new slaves from those deep forests.
But they don't know that one great civilication living in the jungle and they are very angry, smart and rebellious creatures.
"They heard some rumours about great item (amulet, grail?) which is in deepest jungle but when they search it too deep from the jungle they face ..."

I have always been a fan of a third map level. Just make it something else besides another dimension like AOW.
Maybe make it a town in space, or on clouds or something....
and yeah an expansion just wont' feel like it is expanding much if it doesnt' have a new faction.

How about a Dwarf town that could be opposed by the Barbarian(orcs, goblins, ogres). I think they should kick the humans out of the Barbarian town but thats just me.

Same. My first fav game of all time *sorry heroes is second* is Rune, a good old viking game. So I would love to see some viking/nordic stuff. I know for a fact that there is plenty of untouched mythology in this area to cover a town
