You can use the Mission Editor to edit the campaign data for the dynamic campaign (source = manual).

So would you be tempted, and if so, what are you most likely to change?

BobTuck.

What page is that from?
Since you have the manual and we don't, what does it say 'exactly'?
Where the h*ll are the other pages to be shared with us? Why aren't they being posted so we'll know just what your talking about?

Yes, and with charm like that you expect to get a positive response? Just where did you learn charm like that? Did you pay for it, or was it given away for free??

I NEVER expect a positive response, can't you tell by now? At least you didn't go and change/edit my words in your reply, unlike others have a very bad habit of doing.
I'm sorry if I upset you, but it ticks me off to be teased with a question about doing something from the manual (that you and others have in front of yourselves, that you can look at anytime you want), then asking us what we would do.
HOW THE H*LL CAN WE KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT? What does it say? What are the options? DUH!

Hey Bobtuck

I am under the impression after reading the manual and looking at some screen shots of the editor, that their are area circles and waypoints as well as a probability factor for Boats and ships to appear.

In fact I would go as far as to say that you could place your own ships in scripted missions and still have a sense of dynamic mission by adjusting area, waypoints and probability.

What you say, Shall we look at the book again lol.

Hauitsme

In the manual it is only a couple of lines, say one paragraph. I posted it on one of the threads. I would re-post it but I think I have used it when I ran out of toilet paper http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif.

Yeah Gouldjg, we've got the manual, we may as well use it hey? In fact, I think I'll do some bedtime reading with it tonight http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

LOL

I remember playing around with random area placement circles for entities when I had my brief go on the editor. I didn't realise there are probability factors to mess about with too. The devs have made this editor pretty flexible!

You missing SH3 yet?

BobTuck.

Im sick I went now.

Just keep watching Das to keep me happy.

I am quite sure the prob factor shows up on one of the reviews.

I am going to concentrate on building scenarios that maybe last 2hr on multiplayer. When playing Multi on Saturday I felt a little bit too close to the convoy. I prefer that little race at full flank just like the stat matches over at WPL.

Just praying this game is a hit and they consider Destroyer add on. Not a game but just the capability to join as a destroyer in multiplayer.

Getting close now

I'm not looking forward to SH3 anymore, because when I get it, I'm gonna love it, and stop playing PF just when I've started to get back into dynamic campaigns again...

Il-2 on full real, with a paper map with a course line on it, = excellent.

ahaaa but now maybe you are not historicly precise! You sound like you're going to make the shipping lanes too busy compared to real life, that u runn into several convoys every week out at sea

I would tinker with the probabilty to I don't contact convoys more than once every 2-3 weeks at sea. This would really force me to conserve fuel, and maintain crew morale on long patrols.

Well, thats sorta hard to know really. I'm not realy sure how I would like to edit it. I think that I would like to play the game a wile before I make any decisions on that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

If it's possible I'd like to change the alignments of all the ships so you could go round sinking axis ships and dock at allied ports. Or I'd set everybody to hostile to each other and have a giant naval free for all.

No, I didn't delve into 'behind the scenes' files like ini files. I should imagine that is where most modding can be done. That and the ability to use the mission editor on the campaign data. Take a look at my review, and you will see the options on the realism settings screen. This is as much you can get 'in-game'.

BobTuck.
