What is up with this? I just popped in to play prime some more, and I did the update as usual, and now I get one of two problems....

either the disk has problems loading....

or the game won't even start! It was working on the last update no sweat!!!!! Help!

well, if you're playing live your characters saved on the server. So you're safe in that regard.

Try reinstall and reupgrade and see if that fixes it.

Nope. Hell, I wiped my hard drive and reinstalled and still the same problem. It now tells me that it cannot authenticate my disk! C'mon Cyan what did you do?????

Let me guess. Cyan got tired of all the hacked copies of Uru and the new patch implemented a "securom 4.8" check. My cd-writer has had issues with just about every game I currently bought that has securom on it. When is anyone gonna get a clue? And dont even think about accusing me of pirating, I registered my copy fair and square. I am really starting to get hot under the collar.....

Working on it.. Um funny it was one of our own developers that found this first.. went to play at home with CD and found the same problem you had.. So so.. sorry for the problem..

Oh thank god!!!! You ever get that feeling like you're the only one having the uber problems and people look at you like you're stupid? That happened when I called about Tron 2.0 and complained. They were acting as though it has never happened before. So Does Uru use securom? Cause if it does, that seems to happen to certain models of writers.

There is a find feature on these forums, so you can always locate anything that has moved down through the pages (see the tabs at the top of the forum page). That might help you out a bit.

Ok I just woke up and hit the update button and a quick update went through. Please tell everyone thank you as whatever the patch did fixed the game. Man when a developer can't play they hit the books quick!

I take that back. When I took out my cd to load up my graphics program, then tried to load the program again it gave me the same problems. Jeez why did it start at all?
