How about a direct control mode for individual units ingame.

What this mode would allow you to do is to control a vehicle with the keyboard and direct targets to the turret with the mouse.

Sort of like in Soldiers Heroes of World War 2/Dogs of War/Faces of War/Joint Strike Force.

I think its about time they had a feature like this in every RTS game.

It would the game more interesting, sometimes clicking all the time to tell units where to go gets really boring.

A nice feature, but what if FPS fans start getting attached to it and forget about their other units.

Could spell easy victory for the other side.

you don't control the gun, the AI does you just tell it what to track and shoot. You only control the Vehicle's movements with the keyboard.

Yeah, but then how would that soldier make a difference, on such a massive field controlling such a small item is practically useless because who will do the macro-managing while you do the micro-managing?

Just give the player the option. He will use it when he feels like it.

It's a neat option to have, but I don't think a necessity. I like it when it's there, but don't really miss it when it's not.

I agree with obliviondoll, but let's see how the micro-managing can be done
