i bet no one knows yet but i decided to open this discussion as searching bring no results.

1 ) what do u think will happen in FC2 after u kill the jackel?
will u have the opportunity to keep playing in the world?
i bet most of us will definitely want to still be able to play but the biggest question in this matter is - will it be worth the while?
will there be anything to do once the game is finished? will side missions still be possible? will there still be reasons for action?

which leads me to my second pondering -
2 ) will there be action and fire fights outside main or secondary missions? will the player encounter reasons to open fire or fight for his life when NOT in the middle of missions?

i dont think any of these questions has been answered before so it's anyone's guess, i presume.

That's a very good question. I'm also wondering this.
This is the only place where GTA IV really failed in my opinion. After I finished the game, there wasn't really anything to do except multiplayer. That's great for some, but I don't really like multiplayer.
That's why I'm hoping they leave something to do after you finish Far Cry 2. Maybe extra missions from people from the city or buddies: escorts, assassinations, assaults, defending positions, capturing areas (maybe clearing the map), races (?), collectables, easter eggs, etc.
I really hope they have some of those or a ability to replay specific chapters or missions.

Jee you looking at well over 50 hours of gameplay according to Ubisoft if you don't rush through the game and you already worry about what's left after you finish http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif.

I can't imagine that any not yet done side missions will be locked up afterwards. On the other hand new unlocked side missions after completing the main mission is unlikely as well. Unfortunately there is an end to every game.

Perhaps when Ubisoft chooses to release an SDK (maybe later?) you can get even more bang for bucks.

they have said that firefights will occure when not in a mission. so its not like you have to start a mission to spawn enemies into their overlords castle. also i think i read somwhere that once you kill the jackle the game is done and no more free roam. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif i do hope that ubi will change that though.

i can assume that the side missions u do have relevance to the story so when u kill the jackal the story ends, thus no more side missions.

if the game is as random and as open as UBI claims it to be than i will probably do what i do with most opened nature games (I.E. - crysis, stalker )and play it again from the beginning.
some missions in stalker suck but every time i start a new game i must do them so that takes a lot from the fun. in crysis only the missions after mission 5 are not fun so i just play it from mission 1 to 5 over and over again. new mods help.

in farcry2 it seems like all of the missions will have a similar nature (kill humans in an african environment) which is good thing in my opinion since this is why i am interested in FC2. if i could start the game from the beginning but have my unlocked weapons from an earlier game-finish right on the start (kinda like mass effect) than i will be happy to go at it again. when the environment is as open as in FC2 things will go differently a second time even without trying. its just the nature of randomness of the player's actions and path finding.

That would be excellent and definintly add replay value. Once you go through the game once you should be able to start over but use any of the weapons you've been able to purchase/unlock from the first play through. Take note of this Ubi!

i was certain this thread is kinda like Madonna's career - dead.

but apparently , like Madonna's career, it's being resurrected all of a sudden for no apparent reasons.

timcnd1 - no release date yet. look for the threads related.

vastshadow - i guess that there might be a cheat to enable everything that can be enabled so i guess one can use THAT in order to replay the game again.

i usually also play games a second time if good mods come to it. usually there are all sorts of "reality" mods that i really enjoy that add a lot to the game.

i just hope FC2 will be mod-able.

You actually understood timcnd1?! Gods I had to read through his post three times before I got his message across. o.O

Also, getting this for the 360 so I'd have to hope for a good cheat.

LOL. how many times do u think *I* read tim's message. perhaps about 5. and i placed commas and dots between every word to see where it makes sense.

i hope that FC2 will have cheats that makes sense and not just things to make it easier.

myself, i use trainers where they are making the game harder. never easier. im always looking for a way to challenge myself in a good way. seldom cheats help to accomplish that.

Replaying the game with all our weapons and improved skills would be nice if continuing wont work.

Just ignore the Jackal and you should be fine.
That's what I think.

That shouldn't be our only resort to continue free roaming. BTW anyone know a time frame of this games release?

i heard it thru the grapevine from a cousin who,s in the know with the farmer who dated that ugly one on the dev team once you finish the game a new bonus one starts free roam style

watercolouring--death by numbers
your aim is to take your easel and paints and create stunning vista,s of africa ,extra points are added for wildlife in the paintings or malicia without getting shot ,if you do get into a fracas with the enemy createing wonders for the wall you must use your brushes , easel and whatever paint your using ,
,i like obsideon edge black myself ,,then lay into them ,like that mad fella picasso or was it go gan(note firarms will not be available)after jabbing your enemy to death with a size 14 sable tipped wand of wonder awhile using youre paint pallet as a shield and water pot as a hat.

yes i made this all up you honestly didnt believe me. i mean size 14 brush

Well it would be nice if you could there after finish your "main mission" still do something like in GTA, some "police" mission, races, etc whatever. I dont care much about it, because there is easy solution - play multiplayer!
That is what I going to do, in case that MP will rocks. If not, I going back to original FarCry MP again http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
