View Full Version : Is there really no way to skip specific exercises?

While browsing the forum, I found a post that discussed skipping exercises and the conclusion is that there isn't a way to do this.

I'm really disappointed by the lack of such a feature. A long time ago we got EA Active for the Wii and were excited to use it. We used it one time, and within minutes my wife tried to do a lunge and practically collapsed because it was too much for her previously injured knee. We haven't played it since.

We were excited about this game. We need a way to skip particular exercises, though. I understand the purpose of going through the required exercises, but some people literally cannot do them all. For these people, the game becomes almost completely worthless, whereas the ability to skip a particular exercise would allow the game to offer beneficial workouts in other areas.

Just let it do it on its own. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

When I was doing the cardio program, the knee/elbow one always made me want to scream. Especially when it repeated the SAME leg at the end of one and start of another routine. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Since there's no way to skip it, I do as many as I can and then let it continue without me while I stretch or do jumping jacks or take a sip of water. There doesn't appear to be any secret achievements for getting 100% in all routines, so it doesn't bother me if I finish with less than 100%. One day I may get to that level. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I agree with vertigoelectric. There are some of the exercises that I just can't do, and if it took pictures, it would see me flipping it off, getting discouraged, and not wanting to keep coming back. Per spaterson65's comments, I do muddle through, or take a break, but it makes me HATE UBI for continually reminding me how uncoordinated I am.
