I see sooo many of you people are concerned about the absoloute lack of a 3d cocpit in this game - I couldn't agree more on this subject, but another thing I'd like to point out is the total absence of a decent rudder control http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif Why UBI chose to leave out these features http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif which would otherwise make this great game I have no idea, but my guess is it's marketed towards the console market

I was hoping UBI was gonna bring the PC's online equivalent of Namco's Ace Combat, but this took it all away Shouldn't semi-realistic avionics, different views and FULL camera control go whithout saying, this IS 2006 after all.. (same goes for ironsights in FPS's BTW)

This is of course just MY opinion on the matter - what about you guys?

I've only got the demo right now, but I really like the concept. There's some really good artwork to be had (I know, I know, some people think it falls short of the trailers) and I've been looking for a truely arcade-style dogfighting game for a LONG time (since Crimson Skies, actually). But will I get the retail version? Probably not. It's not the lack of realism, or cockpit, or rudder. It's the lack of attention payed to the PC version. Virtually impossible joystick compatibility, XBOX versions of in-game instructions, and relatively poor performance (in terms of responsiveness and general playability). They almost had me...but a flight game of any sort should NOT be harder to play with a joystick. Come on...

So unless I hear somebody say that the retail version is a serious improvement over the demo, I'll probably keep looking elsewhere...which is a shame, since this is SUCH a pretty game.

i couldn't agree more marathi! I was thinking, more hoping it seems, that the controls would be similar to Heroes of the Pacific. The controls in Angels drive me...err, fly me up a wall. So many times I want rudder control. It's extremely frustrating.

if you switch from default and put the roll and pitch on the same stick instead of pitch and turn its not only easier its the way it should be anyways...why the hell did they set the defaults the opposite? it makes no sense
