Why would they not get this demo out before CoD4?

Once CoD4 comes out, I will be playing that hardcore and even if the demo comes out, it's gonna be hard to tear me away from a game in the very beginning.

No demo yet though too early over here to say. I didn't bother going into Marketplace before I left to work. I just checked the xbox forums.

Anyway, AATS is coming out in two weeks just about. I think I can wait that long. I will be passing on COD4. I never liked their games. Though this one is set on modern day combat, I will be keeping my ears open to personal reviews.

I posted before that the demo was suppose to come out last week, but I guess my friend was misinformed about the game. I will be calling him up and asking if he can recontact his insider about what was the misinformation. Well I hope they release it later today or even later in the week.

about 3 more weeks until the game comes out. any guesses on when the demo will come out? I think on Thursday Nov. 1. No reason just a hunch.

I figure it will come out on November 1st before CoD4 if not then then a week befor AATS comes out or a week after CoD4 comes out.

I've been checking marketplace about two times a day, at least. One day I somehow misread that "Looney Toons" demo and got all excited for a minute. It was kind of funny looking back on it but not at the time!

COD4 will not affect my plans for this game. I already have it pre-purchased and if somehow I already have COD4, it will collect dust once AA: TS is out. I may even just wait and buy COD4 on Craig's list or something.

Maybe you should be a little more patient, dezmoss. Alot of the ppl here would never get COD4 because of the nature of AA compared to COD games. I am open to all sorts of games with Tactical Shooters in the lead, but COD4 just doesnt appeal to me since the SP game is linear and online is pretty much full of 12-16 YO H3 vets. The demo may not come out 'till release day or even a day later. There have been so FEW good shooters this year I'm glad to have a couple come out before the year closes out.

I hear you loud and clear soldier. However, I will buy/play the game myself, I'm just not going into it expecting anything close to the experience of AA:TS.

Quick Story: In Gamestop yesterday, checking out Super Mario Galaxy/Wii kiosk, I overheard the employee super-hyping-up COD4, to a customer, asking about coming games. "Best FPS of all time", "Game of the year" and "truely awesome" were a few things I overhead.

I had to say something, so I did: "Actually I thought the games controls felt outdated, the online game was lacking depth and also heard the single-player is way too short."

Another employee gave me a "Wow, you think everthing sucks.." remark, I almost replied with a remark related to her experiences with sucking, but refrained.

After messing with the Wii for another minute or so I walked up to the counter and asked the employee why he liked COD4 so much, guess what he told me..., "I've never played it, I just read on our Gamestop site about how it's going to be so great"...

Moral: Gamestop, gamestop employees(most of them) and the hype surrounding COD4 piss me off.

ON TOPIC: Yeah, still checking marketplace constantly for that thing. I almost downloaded the Scene It demo, because I've seen it so many times now.

But yea... that happens alot to me. SP is very important to me since 3 days of the week I am away from my house and even when I am at my house I have a crappy DSL connection and I can lag-out in COOP, dont really ever play adversial though, except to get achievements for fun with friends.

i know what your saying about waiting and stuff and i know that AA is the best game out there but im just venting my fustrations. i hate halo and all those bunny hopping idiots.
