View Full Version : Please! No crosshairs or reticles

If this game is going to be as accurate as predicted, then there should be no crosshairs or reticles; in CoD, I turn mine off just to try and make the simulation a little more accurate (realistic). When I shoot my M1 Garand at the range, I have no crosshairs, just the good old iron sights... and a lot of kick and a lot of noise. Period.
I also don't want to see the blazing Rambo-Krauts (or GIs) for that matter. It's not generally how those battles were fought. Those who pulled those stunts usually ended up dead. I've read enough books on the WWII foot soldier so that I can say I am at least partially familiar with what they went through. I'll feed you guys some recommended reads if you like. Phenomenal stories.

Most FPS-style games come with a crosshair toggle. Worst case scenario is that it doesn't, but you could always then practise your discipline and only shoot from ironsights anyway. Problem solved.

Make it a feature that you can toggle off or on. It would be interesting to be able to make it a server setting too.

True, I'd love for it to be off completely - especially in MP just to make it fair and more realistic for everyone.

There are no crosshairs in BIA, period.

i can't remember if it was a video or a screenshot, but i believe that i had seen a little green dot when the guy didn't have his gun in iron sights. so, i DO think there's a way to toggle it on or off.

dont play with crosshairs on the single player, that way when you get online you know exactly how the gun works
In the video or screenshots I haven't ever seen a crosshair.

yeah i couldn't find the movie, but it's the one where he's watching a glider or airplane as it's falling from the sky. the player runs towards it which it's falling from a distance and as he's running you can see a little greenish dot where an x-hair would be. i remember seeing one, but i just can't find that movie now!

Anti-Hero, I found the movie I belive you were talking about, and yes I saw a crosshair, its a thin white line that is really short, here is the link to that video, http://www.bestgamefiles.com/upcoming%20games/brothersinarms/Movies/index.php
it's the first movie at the top.
This movie is BEFORE E3 so I belive it changed

I havent seen crosshaire in E3 demo...
But I would like to have an option to turn it off/on

The E3 demo with Pritchard and Antal did not have any crosshair, so I think at this point there isn't any. Have to wait for new movies.
