avatar game server offline message

bought special editon yesterday installed it today.
then i started the game and tried to unlock the exclusive content you get with the special edition.
Tried a few times, entered my login, password and the bonus code and when I do login evry time i get the message "james cameron avatar the game server is currently unavailable. please try again later."
Does anyone know when this server will get back up or are there some ports i have to open up in my firewall/router that are possibly blocking this server.
