I have to admit that I was becoming somewhat disenchanted with BSG by the end of the last season because they kept relying on the same drama over and over. I really hope this season rebounds. Episode 1 was good, but I still see a lot of the same stuff...

I agree with Rhoulette, this remake is more of Drama action, like this season should be more action and less drama like last season

Whatever dudes, this is good stuff. However, it is possible I will become more critical when I watch them all again (in the distant future).

I've read some interviews with Ronald Moore in which he revealed the Sci-Fi Network had a hand in the more dramatic turn of the show in Season 3. Apparently, it came down to Sci-Fi wanting more stand alone episodes that catered to people new to the series. This was due to the mainstream attention and critical accalim the show had been receiving.

However, ratings dropped slightly, the fans complained, and Sci-Fi realized their error. I'd expect season 4 to really pick up the pace. With only one more Cylon remaining, and this being the final season, I'd expect a whole lot of **** to hit the fan.

At this point I have to say I'm dead jealous... it'll probably be around September when the DVD box set for seaon 4 gets released in the UK, oh well at least I managed to resist getting Razor so far so I've got something to slate my BSG withdrawl symptoms between now and then http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif .

I'd have to say I agree somewhat with Rhoulette in that season 3 didn't wasn't really of as high a quality as what had preceded it (but then I considered the mini serise and season one to be one of my all time favorit TV shows/films). I also felt it focused too much on the core characters at the expense of telling the story of the fleet, and also the Sci Fi/space battles and action. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Last season slowed a lot when they were doing Baltars trial. That was neccesarry, but the whole thing with the Lawyer trying to show Apollo that he had options and the family insight could have moved a little quicker.

At least the final Episode had a couple of big reveals.

This season is going to be huge.
