Dont get me wrong, I love the fact that its so realistic and give you all the options. But im rather daunted http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif by all this calculation stuff, I do enough of that in my current job... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I guess i'll get use to it, I really want to immerse myself in the game and make it challenging...

That's what I'm talkin about http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Thank you BobTuck and Tomcat!

If you get over the initial challenge and get used to it, it's just like riding a bike and more rewarding when you get that perfect kill.

Yeh! thats what I was thinking... I mean you would feel better having accomplished something the way it was really done... Instead of ranking up 600,000+ grosse tonnage by mid 1941... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Im a realist!!!

Thanks again! Should keep me busy till tomorrow http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yes, a campaign of turkey shoots with a million tons sunk is not my idea of fun. Anymore if a game isin't stimulating and challenging it has little value to me. I could be spending time doing something more important like with my family or feeding my pets http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

So I assume there will be no difference between Early war TDC and Late war TDC in SH3?

Has anyone noticed but on page 42 under the Attack section it says "At this point you are ready to launch your torpedo. To speed up the process and avoid any sudden changes in target data ruining the shot, begin opening the torpedo tubes before acquiring the data."

I thought that wasnt possible as it was doors open, flood tubes and fire all on the fire button.

Correct me if im wrong.

no u right,i saw it at some post one of the guys who played the game,i cant find it now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif too much work, but the manual says that u should do it to speed up the process.
????hmmmm,where is the truth??? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Yep it does say it.
So they say open doors before acquiring the data", Hmm...
How is this to be interpreted?
Because if you were to get the data as per page 38 CONDUCTING TORP ATTK. you can see the steps.1-5.
So do we do this on step 1 Approach?
Because that is the step BEFORE Data collection.
Cuz thats what I am gettin out of it.
*See another good vox command! "Food Tubes 1&4!"
But in the vid's they seemed to just do it auto.
Unless that is just a "cinematic recap" of the sub entering attack mode and then firing.

All this time I thought it wasn't modelled but.... Could this be a "maybe"?

With the Dev's "Fear and Loathing Across Europe" we can only wait till release.

guys it was later confirmed by one of the ten who was browsing through the manual that he found something that said shortcut to open or close selected torpedo tube.

so apparently you CAN flood and open tubes beforehand, and not be stuck with the delay that was seen in earlier videos.

I've been eagerly awaiting a scanned manual (or an official one in PDF) to drool over for the next few days.

Did Razz actually say he'd post one?
